And with a Final Decision, we lose one of our biggest stars of the season. Clarissa leaves the game as our 6th Place Goddess.

I'm just going to come out and say it. Clarissa was my favorite character of the season bar none, she was one of the first characters I came up with, and writing her dialogue was always so fresh and unique. She never really feel into any Tropes I've used before, and became her own entity that really shaped how the season came across and unfolded. Her Aggressive Nature and Take No Prisoners Attitude led for pretty much every scene she was in to be fun to write for, and every interaction she had whether it be an ally or an enemy was always fun. Coming up with her rants and insults were some of the highlights in the early season and having her develop through the story from someone who was on the outs due to their attitude into becoming a viable winner contender. It's the best way I could think for her story to go.

I know some would have loved to see her as the winner this season, and if I'm being honest I wouldn't have been against making her the winner.... However with her storyline with Claire and Later Yessi... It was more and more obvious that she needed to be defeated, her pupil had to surpass the master, and that's what happened today when Yessi and Clarissa fought during Tribal. They fought for the Loyalty of one of the most stubborn players, and Clarissa got outplayed... But she can't even be That upset with how things went down.

As sad as it is to lose Clarissa, sending her out here made sense. Giving her an entire boot episode to send her off seemed like the right thing to do. And for one of the biggest names of the season. She Deserved this honor. It won't be the same without her. But it was an amazing 36 day Journey.

And, finally, Frysk turns a corner. Instead of directly betraying anybody, he just randomly votes for someone who wasn't actually a target, which ended up sending Clarissa out. I love it. I love that he didn't just go all-in on saving Yessi by voting out Clarissa, but he still more or less WANTED to save Yessi so he just did it in his own way. That's awesome, I have to say. He's still nowhere close to how awesome Kitsunie was (for ME), but I can at least finally respect him. As for Clarissa, she was amazing. Remove the unwarranted paranoia and undeserving bullying of Marie from Brandi from SFC15 and you basically get Clarissa, which I love. She was great. Unlike true bitchy girls like Iyzebel, Amelia, Mary, Brittnay, and others along those lines, Clarissa was her own person with a set of ideals that, more or less, were mostly accurate (again, in MY opinion). Her only problem was she lost touch of how to actually convey those thoughts and opinions that made others respect and listen to her, instead of just fearing her. She was a great character, and one that I can 100% respect.

Honestly, this season has been really surprising for me. It started off pretty bad, but the more it's went on, the more enjoyment I've gotten out of it. I know that, apparently, a lot of others don't seem to like this season much, but haters gonna hate. We're at the final five and I love who is here. ET and Yessi are easily rootable characters. Sagittaria is still sassy and cute. Frysk finally did something, and he's become more tolerable, so I like him. And Shin...yeah, he's very clearly the 'final boss' of the season, one way or another. Something is going to happen with him, I just know it. Shin is really the only one I don't want to see winning. Don't really want to see Frysk win, either, since it would justify his behavior and attitude and 100% paint Kitsunie as in the wrong, which isn't the right message to send; neither one is right, so neither one should win. ET, Yessi, or Sagittaria is winning. And, honestly, any of them will be a fantastic winner, and will definitely (likely) be behind Montana and Cherman in my #3 slot of the winners ranking (for ME). I can't wait to see.

1. Kitsunie (Perfection) [Eliminated]

ROBBED GODDESS NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Legit, I thought she was going to be the winner with Yessi as the main runner-up. So, I'm pretty sure Yessi has this on lock-down (maybe E.T./Sagi have a shot, but it's a TINY one, and Frysk/Shin are just dead in the water at this point).

Enough about those other losers though, we need to talk about Clarissa. She is easily my favorite of 18, and I think everyone else's too? Well, besides, Kasai, but I'm pretty sure he's going to get just destroyed along side Shin at FTC. She was just DYNAMIC, and everything she did POPPED. Then, again water is wet, Clarissa is iconic, I really have nothing to say besides Robbed :( (Oh well at least she'll probably have a kickass jury-speech).

Rest In Peace to a goddamn icon. Clarissa is a top 20 character of the series, with pretty much every scene of her being a blast. Her charisma that she was able to back up with her actions was great, and her arc of turning her abilities and persona to actually help people was a subtle but well done arc. Ngl I genuinely wanted her to win, but I totally get why she didn’t. Sucks to see her go tho. Legends only.

And now that we are at the finale, time to put all my chips in for Yessi. She’s had a great arc and personality and sums up the themes of this season well. Not to mention between everyone else remaining, ET has the biggest chance and he’s....ET. So I don’t think that’s too likely. So yeah woo yessi go team.

Clarissa (RIP)

Claire (RIP)
Nolaa (RIP)
Deimos (RIP)
Ernest (RIP)

Kasai (RIP)

@Misterjakester : why sagitarria

Reply Misterjakester (Guest), October 11th, 2019, 10:54 pm

@Guest: all she’s done the entire game is make impulsive decision after impulsive decision and never get called out for it. And then she does legitimately horrrible things that are either ignored or escused. Like her gaslighting Yessi in that one challenge and then Yessi being victim blamed for it. Or when she read Sagitarria’s private and personal level, with Ria’s justified anger towards her being used to get someone else out, and then RIA being the one to apologize for “overreacting” when the former did something legit terrible with no consequences. She hasn’t developed at all the whole game, and while that might be purposeful, is extremely irritating to watch.if anything, she’s undeveloped, with her at the beginning seeming rational with clear chains of thought, like when she reprimanded Sprinkles for her uncarful machete use . Now it feels like she would be the one with the machete. So in summary, she refuses to develop when everything is screaming at her to and doesn’t face consequences for actions that need them

Out of Business Look, Kasai was one thing. Him being the perfect submission for one of my favorite games was never not going to make me happy. But Clarissa is far and away the best character of the season. I’d best describe her as Brian Heidik with a soul- she’s running her whole operation like it’s a business trip, but with the added benefit of taking every social cue she’s ever seen from high school and using those to read people. It’s genius, and I’m glad we had her on this season.

But on the other hand, I can’t see myself rooting for any of these finalists. Sagittaria comes the closest to being a satisfying winner, but I don’t think she’s in a position to justify her win. Yessi and E.T. just seem extremely safe, but I’d at least be a teensy more satisfied than I was with Ollie winning. Shin, no. This game is being set up for him to crash and burn at the FTC, he’s not winning. And Frysk... well, we’ll get to him.

Clarissa > Kasai > Lady Bit > Ernest > Ria > Nolaa > Nayla > Claire > Ethan > Atlas > Sprinkles > Deimos > Kitsunie

Big F. Glad Frysk did something tho

Reply Guest, October 11th, 2019, 10:59 pm

So we all gonna cry that Clarissa didn't win and hate whoever does because they aren't her?

Reply Timeheart, October 11th, 2019, 11:04 pm

That felt so epic. Just for Frisk to have this kind of break out of his own shell somewhat. They all really have come a long ways. Even Clarissa was quite the surprise.

Reply dat4yc, October 11th, 2019, 11:47 pm

I gotta say, this sucks, I really thought Clarissa was gonna win and she was my top pick for the win. She was amazing and gave a lot of fun to this season and it really sucks to see her gone. Honestly, of the people left, I would most want Sagittaria to win. She is definitely the most interesting character left and I’m rooting for her all the way!!

Sagittaria > Frysk > Shin > E.T. > Yessi

Elim Rankings:

Clarissa > Kasai > Deimos > Ernest > Nolaa > Lady Bit > Ria > Claire > Nayla > Atlas > Ethan > Sprinkles > Kitsunie

Thoughts Personally, both myself and pretty much everyone else LOVED Clarrisa:the charisma, the arc,the roasts-god the roasts-it was fantastic.Sucks to see her go,but it was for the best:and if one things for certain she'll have one of the best FTC Jury Roasts;probably around Kade level minus the anime, plus the shots fired at Shin.
Speaking of which,I think it's obvious enough that Shin's going to reach a mental breakdown in the FTC over his perfection climax, with Kasai and Clarrisa tag-team attacking him on it:which I'm personally looking forwards to.Yessi and E.T. are safe winner picks, but honestly the ones I prefer most--Yessi might either come through as the winner or get voted out at 4th place if I'm being honest.I know this is a bit of an unpopular opinion, but I really don't want Sagittaria to be the winner. It'd just justify much of the more irritating moves she'd made, and though it'd be more unique than per say E.T.--it'd still feel undeserved in many ways if she beats every other good player.I do still find many scenes with her hillarious though, also Frysk's kinda-save-Yess-but-be-individual-at-the-same-time strategy(god that's alot of dashes)was a clever and fun twist imo.Still don't see him becoming the winner though, might be in the FTC anyways or get voted out at 4th instead of Yessi.Either way, looking forward to how this'll all wrap up!

Screw you Frysk. You have one important decision and you screw it up by taking the third option. At least the right person left.
I'm not that big on Clarissa as other commenters. She was ultimately an overconfident power player that took screentime from characters who needed it, sometimes appeared Sueish, and ultimately didn't deviate that much from the "bitch with a heart of gold" personality archetype. Still, she shaped the season as it was and is one of the top characters in it.
Shin is going to have a Bonnie-level FTC downfall.

Reply RedBeryl, October 12th, 2019, 5:47 am

Huh. There's only one Future player remaining. And it's Frysk, of all people.

Reply Sinjoh, October 12th, 2019, 3:37 pm

Seems like Frysk surpassed Neleh's record for not playing the game, finally playing the game on Day 36. He ain't gonna win though, unless there's a surprise Final 2 and he's against Sagittaria (who probably ain't gonna win), but that would be like a hypothetical Kass/Woo Final 2. Yessi is definitely up there to win followed by Shin and ET.

Reply SkySurfer, October 12th, 2019, 4:06 pm

Well, there goes another big player who I expected in the Top 5. So close and I certainly wouldn't have expected Frysk to be the main reason for her departure

I wasn't really sure at first if Clarissa was a contestant to root for. I liked it when she defended Atlas against Lady Bit and then was surprised to see a somewhat arrogant side of her. It took a bit to accept it but Clarissa played an impressive game for someone who seemed to burn all bridges very early and becoming Yessi's mentor boosted my sympathy for her. At least there's no doubt she earned her jury spot.

Reply Guest, October 12th, 2019, 9:11 pm

Honestly at this point I think E.T. is probably the most likely to win the whole thing. There's absolutely no shot Shin or Frysk win this thing and while Sagittaria has a sliver of a chance I just can't really see her winning either. I think Yessi has a great shot to win... if she actually gets to the end, but I feel like she's going to be taken out by Shin with his idol at 5th or if not then at 4th/3rd (depending on if it's a final 3/2). I'm thinking E.T. is going slide his way right to the end and be a surprise win since everyone left doesn't seem to think of him as a threat and Shin is completely focused on Yessi and overlooking him despite the fact he's actually played a pretty decent game and has an amazing social game. My guess is that if it's a final 2 it'll be E.T. and Shin with E.T. winning and if it's a final 3 Frysk will probably be 3rd, maybe Sagittaria.

RIP Clarissa, a true queen.

Also I think everyone is forgetting this doesn’t ET have the idol and not Shin?

Reply Cute Kitten Fan, October 12th, 2019, 9:59 pm

@Mal: It was also the same comic where E.T. said 'If he finds the idol, he gives it to Shin', so... Shin has the idol. E.T. gave the idol to Shin. I can understand HOW you missed that part.

Reply Sonofhades, October 14th, 2019, 8:32 am

Awww, I'm going to miss Clarissa. I greatly enjoyed her sass and prowess. At least we got Frysk finally getting off his ass and using his own initiative for once.
