*sighs* Sierra...JUST when it looked like I MIGHT like you for calling out Thorne on her two-faced, asshole have to reel it back in. Good lord, you're just pathetic. I have no sympathy for you whatsoever. But, Bowser Jr. is just awesome. I'm really hoping he wins at this point! I doubt a canon is going to win on a Blood Vs. Water season with "important" applicants, but I can hope!

Reply Housemaster (Guest), June 13th, 2017, 10:06 pm

I think Bowser Jr may start to get a little too cocky for his own good .

Reply anime9001, June 13th, 2017, 10:13 pm

@Housemaster: At least he gets it honestly.

Reply ChronoAlone, June 13th, 2017, 10:07 pm

Wow. Even when Sierra's being a whiny cunt, she still manages to be wishy-washy. Pathetic. Seriously hope she goes next.

Reply rac567 (Guest), June 13th, 2017, 10:07 pm

Who would have thought Junior could be such a devious mastermind? I guess Thorne was wrong about kids after all. I feel a little bad for Sierra though. She is being blamed for something she did not do and her very own sister is willing to make her a target. I have now develop a lot of disdain towards Thorne.

Reply Blastoise_FTW, June 13th, 2017, 10:07 pm

Who's that sexy turtle on the left side of this comment?

Uh, so yeah, if I was them my very first suspect is the guy pointing fingers at other people. Jr, you're lucky they're all dumb..

Ohh Sierra... Can't catch a break, can she? She really should just give up on her sister and flip for real. Assuming Jr actually plans to stick with the deer, then that's a comfy majority with all her buddies.

Reply ChronoAlone, June 13th, 2017, 10:08 pm

@Blastoise_FTW: That's a Pikachu, right?

Reply rac567 (Guest), June 13th, 2017, 10:10 pm

@Blastoise_FTW: It's like with Sky back in Season 1. It is hard to suspect a kid of pulling such manipulative moves. However Junior should be careful and hope he doesn't make himself Vinnie's target.

Reply Tailslover13, June 13th, 2017, 10:10 pm

@Blastoise_FTW: FINALLY you log back on and get your old avatar back! NICE! Took you long enough, you big lug~

Reply DryIceBros (Guest), June 13th, 2017, 10:17 pm

@Blastoise_FTW: Is it Bowser Jr?
(Oh no, I suddenly am unable to log onto my account!)

Reply DryIceBros, June 13th, 2017, 10:55 pm

@DryIceBros: Or is it Bowser?

Reply Misterjakester, June 13th, 2017, 10:12 pm

I feel bad for people like Sierra. Clearly has opinions of her own, but due to a want not to offend anybody, reels them back in. People like her need only one thing- A backbone.
I hope Jr isn't getting too cocky, because I'm really enjoying him right now. He is pretty much a second coming of Sky, which is good cause I think I'm one of the 5 people who liked Sky.
I just realized now that I really like the attention to detail in the lighting with the fire. Helps make things look more dramatic

Reply anime9001, June 13th, 2017, 10:12 pm

Heh.....taking back her outburst immediately was kinda cute. Glad she's not too mad, no matter how it seems.

Reply Slicer (Guest), June 13th, 2017, 10:14 pm

Sierra finally gets a personality and a character arc and you guys hate her more. Harsh :(

Reply Guest, June 13th, 2017, 10:16 pm

I am lowkey expecting a storyline where Sierra is the one who actually did Thorne's crime.

Reply Misterjakester, June 13th, 2017, 10:24 pm

@Guest: that would be some ace attorney shit right there

Reply qazox, June 14th, 2017, 10:06 am

@Guest: Already called that 4 days ago... ;)

qazox, June 10th, 2017, 10:43 am

(1 day late...)

Why am i getting the feeling that somehow it's gonna come out the Thorne took the fall for killing her abusive Dad; when it really was Sierra that did it; just everyone figured that Thorne would have done it instead.... and that Thorne is still blackmailing Sierra about it today???

Reply GaryHawkinsLandscaper, June 13th, 2017, 10:29 pm

*long, tired sigh*

Sierra. Honey. Pick a side, for Christ's sake.

Reply Smasher 101, June 13th, 2017, 10:31 pm

I can't quite say I hate Sierra. she's my least favorite character left and would prefer that she go sooner rather than later, but she just swaps between boring and MILDLY irritating to me. not a great character, but not quite at the hate level for me, at least not yet

Reply Floorman (Guest), June 13th, 2017, 10:51 pm

I feel for Sierra, I really do. She's really just not meant for this game.

Reply SkySurfer, June 13th, 2017, 11:00 pm

I guess the emotional outburst is an improvement because we now know Sierra is capable of other attitudes than being a timid survivor. It's cruel that her sister led the interrogation though...

I'm not surprised Junior came forward and threw the blame card, it would have been risky for most of the others but not for him cause he didn't give a reason for suspicion yet. This seems like the episode where the sister duo will break up but it's hard to tell under which circumstances.

Reply RedBeryl, June 13th, 2017, 11:15 pm

Aw, poor Sierra. Not even Thorne seems to buy it. It's a really crappy day when not even your own sister (even if it's Thorne) doesn't believe you.

I'm hopin' for a tender-feel-good moment with someone that's willing to stick up for Sierra. Maybe Riley or Damon. That'll be nice.

Gonna spend some time reupdat-ifying my applications. This season's already finished and just waiting in buffer-purgatory to be completed, yah?

Reply lstaff4, June 14th, 2017, 1:35 am

Bowser Junior will always be my favorite little sociopath.

Reply Yumichika Time, June 14th, 2017, 1:39 am

I don't care if Sierra sucks as a player or not anymore, this is ridiculous that once Sierra makes a developmental piece like this, she gets unwarranted HATE!

As such, Sierra (along w/ Doris/Riley/Damon) is arguably the NICEST player left. & to think that THIS is how we repay her too, *shakes head very disappointedly* ugh, what a SHIT way to lay WASTE on HARMLESS people like Sierra.

Popular or not, I just cannot EVER find myself ANY reason to even Dislike her (much less hate her). Therefore, I guess I may be FORCED to step in to Defend her from time to time. & hopefully we have someone, ANYONE from the remaining cast, finally give Sierra a REAL chance to let Sierra try to explain/defend herself in SOME fair way too. :(

Reply GaryHawkinsLandscaper, June 14th, 2017, 7:47 am

@Yumichika Time: Not sure I'm going to like what I see, but sure, I'll see what Sierra can do.

Reply Guest, June 14th, 2017, 8:36 am

Damon is taking it well, thankfully. Bowser Jr definitely turned the tables against Sierra, like I thought he would, and Sierra's incompetence to lie or tell the truth is biting her in the butt.

But hey, you wanna know something? You know who could have also played the same role as Sierra? The wishy washy flipper?

Just as irrelevant to the strategy, just as irrelevant to the plot. Only thing Riley brings is the cute factor. Now don't get me wrong, I ADORE Riley. But I feel like it's a major double standard.

"When Sierra does it, she's a cunt. But if Riley were to do it, he's a hero."

I don't think this is a game meant for Sierra to play. She's too nice, too sweet, and can't lie to save her life. Not that she was lying to begin with. She did vote Doris, not Angelo. Still...

Also her relationship with Thorne. Now... yes, her sister is a killer. But at the same time... we forget the fact that there's a backstory. There's GOT to be a reason why Sierra still loves her sister despite everything. Someone as mean and despicable as Thorne should have lost all family contact by now. But not her twin sister. Why?

It's likely because Sierra KNEW a different Thorne from their childhood. She's possibly trying to break Thorne's mold and bring her back to the side of good.... unlikely, yes... but still.

That's why I think the hate for Sierra is overblown. We're overreacting because she's a terrible player and because of that, we think she's just as bad as Bonnie. She should judge her on her gameplay. Not because she won't disown her sister. I like her as a character, but NOT as a player.

AS for Bowser Jr.... good for him. All the thoughts on him being similar to Skylar? Yeah. Not a good sign for a winner's edit if we're already thinking that, right?

Reply Tailslover13, June 14th, 2017, 11:13 am

@Guest: It's not a double standard. We all know where Riley has stood and what his story is. Yes, he's a cowardly little dork, but he also is very loyal, honest, and doesn't do anything to offend anybody at all. He's true to himself.

Sierra tries to do too much while "trying to be nice". She "warns" Tialayla...despite wanting to be loyal to her sister. Then she attacks her sister for doubting her...only to immediately backtrack and apologize. This "niceness" is different from Riley's.

It's kinda like the Ky comparison to last season. Ky and Riley are the same, whereas Sylvia and Sierra could be argued to be the same. Ky and Riley are nice to everyone, but they don't try and do more than they need to or should do, because they have no reason to. Sierra and Sylvia kept trying to do more, which in turn just pissed others off due to them being shady. Look, if YOU were out there, how would YOU feel about Sierra? Here's another example. Tai from Kaoh Rong and Game Changers is constantly hated on by players who played with him, despite clearly being one of the sweetest guys ever. So, just because you're a nice person who is "trying to play the game", it doesn't make you above reproach or hatred.

It's fine to love someone as a character, but you also need to realize that hatred can be for many reasons. If you're playing a game that pisses me off, you DESERVE to be hated; I don't care if you're the nicest person in the world. This is a GAME, right? Well, playing the game is a part of your character. You need to accept that.

Reply Guest, June 14th, 2017, 2:15 pm

@Tailslover13: Sierra is definitely less of a hot head compared to Sylvia.

Thing is... we the viewers ADORED Tai, didn't we? We just didn't adore his gameplay. Only unlike Sierra he was shoved down our throats via the magical powers of modern Survivor editors.

I think at the end of the day, I think it's just an editing fault of SWSU. We didn't get to know Sierra that well. When she finally emerges, she isn't that great of a player.

I think I just overappreciate low key players. Only unlike certain people here... I can admit Sierra is not winning this season even if she becomes the new Montana.

Reply Tailslover13, June 14th, 2017, 3:50 pm

@Guest: That's all fine. You're just like SWSU himself then; he loves low-key players, too. And it's fine to feel that way. I guess I just have to stand in to defend my statements sometimes, that's all. Because I see people complaining that Sierra "doesn't deserve hate" and people that say they hate her "are being unfair". Basically, I see both sides of the argument, so nobody is wrong or right. It's fine to feel how you do.

Yeah, Sierra is most likely not winning, but who knows? I'm just gonna enjoy the rest of the season regardless, because I'm PRETTY sure neither Thorne nor Sierra is winning, so we'll get a great winner regardless~

Reply dat4yc, June 14th, 2017, 11:29 am

Just wanna preface this by saying I'm fine with you defending Sierra, fans have the right to do that if they want. But as a big Riley fan I wanted to defend myself too.

Your comparison to Riley doesn't really work because you are just assuming something he could have done. He wasn't wishy washy, therefore you are just spreading conjecture on how people would react to it in the form of a quote that no one has actually said besides you. His character so far has been nothing like Sierra's character, other than that they are nice people, so currently it's unfair to throw around words like double standard. If he did something similar to Sierra, I would still like him more because he is an established character that I like a lot more than I did Sierra before she started acting wishy washy.

P.S: Who the hell has said Sierra's as bad as Bonnie? I certainly don't believe that lol XD

Reply Guest, June 14th, 2017, 2:12 pm

@dat4yc: I wasn't saying Riley was wishy washy. I'm saying that if he was, I think nobody would have a problem with it. Even if he was underedited.

The issue definitely stands by Sierra not getting a good edit early on. Something I feel SWSU failed at doing.

Reply dat4yc, June 14th, 2017, 3:33 pm

@Guest: Yeah I agree, since she wasn't much of a character before the merge hit it's a little easier for people to dislike her now. In any normal season of SFC I wouldn't dislike her too much, but since I enjoy literally every other character still in she kinda becomes my scapegoat lol.

Reply SWSU-Master, June 14th, 2017, 4:48 pm

@Guest: There also is some issues that after Episode 3, Sierra never went to Tribal Council until the merge, so while she did get some screentime, it was never related to any eliminations

Reply Sonofhades, June 14th, 2017, 10:02 am

I've gotta give props to Bowser Jr. for properly reading people's reactions and diverting the blame onto the most relevant target. He's gonna be a fine manipulator if he doesn't overplay his hand. I'll put my two cents in on Sierra real quick. She's a very nice young woman. Too nice for Survivor, and she apparently has a massive calcium deficiency in her diet if she still hasn't developed a spine at this point. I'd say she needs to pick a side, but it's probably too late. Nobody trusts her at this point thanks to Junior, not even her own sister, so even if she did pick a side she'd be the most expendable one on that side. TL:DR, Sierra is too wishy-washy for her own good and her game is probably torpedoed.
