Scott's not one to fall for the Nice Girl Act...
Scott, to hell with you. My God you're unbearable. I can't believe I'm saying this, but you're even WORSE without Iyzebel! Bonnie, get his ass out, please. *sighs* Great, I'm ROOTING for Bonnie...I think I'm going to throw up.
At least Bowser, Bowser Junior, Damon and...stupid Angelo...are a nice alliance. So that makes me happy. If Scott and Iyzebel are both in trouble, I'm happy to see it.
@Tailslover13: I have to say, your REALLY coming around lately indeed (& I think you might know what mean by that too :P), so good job for now, & try to keep it up. ^^
Anyhow, I wanted to let you know that I used your name as a good example for someone I tried to help explain about the "sudden Bonnie likability" or whatever it is (but it's certainly NOT being as hate-able to Bonnie as it previously was), that has people coming around for her better.
I hope you're fine w/ it, but I wanted to let you know jic. (just look further down to see what I meant specifically, for an easier interpretation).
@Yumichika Time: Hey, you're free to say what you like; you have freedom of speech! Your comment was nice~
Looks like Angelo's not the eternal positivity and kindness Damon always seems to be. Although he still possesses the same amount of energy.
Scott just seems to be on a roll. Killing it in the challenge, nailing down Bonnie's facade... He might be merge material. Not calling any winners yet, but he might have a chance.
Wow. I didn't see Scott of all people sniffing Bonnie out. But I can totally see how he did. Heh. These tribes are alright. The real worry is Kinopio. Can't let Riley go home.
Huh. So Scott sees through the facade? Interesting.
It's funny how this comic made me appreciate Angelo and Scott for two opposite reasons (although the previous comic is to thank for the latter). For Angelo, it's showing his more grounded side hinted at in the cast reveal and his idea to vote Iyzebel, but this comic seems to confirm he's going to be playing a more cutthroat game than his partner. Hell, he might be my winner pick as of now. I doubt it'll actually happen, but he has what it takes to get to the end and win enough votes. Now to Scott. He's just getting to be more fun. I'm starting to think he's another Ivan or Desmond, but his standout trait is his hammier cockiness. If he keeps this up, he could be a surprising comic relief character this season while holding his own in terms of strategy, especially since he has Bonnie's true nature pinned down, something I can't say I expected from him. However, he could also be on his way to a downfall at the hands of our very own devil, and if that happens, I'll be sure SWSU knows that I am fairly disappointed!
Addendum: This is probably grasping at straws, but what could Bradley's face during the high five mean? Perhaps he's suspicious of Bonnie too! ...Right?
@DryIceBros: Honestly, who could take the line "An actual high five? How scandalous..." seriously. Bonnie's playing a goodie-two-shoes character, but there's absolutely no way to take that line as anything but sarcasm. In which case at best she's intentionally feeding someone's ego.
Sarasa has the girls on the outs, which *would* be bad news for Iyzebel and Doris... except for the fact that they're practically unbeatable. Only way that Iyzebel's leaving is if Sarasa throws the challenge, and she'll see it coming a mile away.
As for Galaxie, Scott might be in over his head. He's unknowingly playing with fire, and Bonnie!Sarah isn't gonna let him off easy. Just... how is she gonna try to throw him under the bus AND still keep her cover? Inquiring minds wants to know~
Speaking of curiosity, I wanna know what's goin' at Kinopio, naoooooooooo...
I don't think Scott actually knows Sarah is Bonnie; just that she's not as innocent as she seems.
the bro alliance seems pretty strong, but i predict bowser's gonna mess it up somehow lol
of course scott knows a bad girl when he sees 'em! it's just... i'm not sure if he actually knows that she's bonnie.
Yeeeeaaaah, Bonnie's not making it to the end with her disguise in tack if Scott of all people can catch onto her. Luckily for Bonnie however, Sarah is not....AS much of a goodie-two-shoes persona as Prescilla was (although it is close), so being seen as someone who can actually play the game shouldn't sink her entirely...
And past that, we've got the Cops, the Robbers, and the Bros in their own squads now. Let's see how long all of these can last~
Let's be honest, Scott has no idea what's actually going on. He just wanted to look "cool".
No matter how much Scott really knows and how much he acts like a macho, he made Bonnie nervous and that's what counts here. The irony that Bonnie thought she would be safe by unnerving Brandi. What goes around, comes around...
Angelo pretty much doesn't have another option to be honest. He likes his alliance and Iyzebel is a far better boot option than Doris. I doubt that Damon would disagree
If Scott happens to be the one to unmask Bonnie, then great! Take her out!
Also I still see some people beginning to like Bonnie strangely... that can be rectified. Go re-read SFC9 and SFC10. She hasn't changed. There's just been less seen of her. GOOD. The less Bonnie we get the better.
The only SFC character less likable than Bonnie is Amelia. Enter and Jake were far more likable than Bonnie.
@Guest: Tbf "Guest", the reason that some people (even those who harbor some deep hatred for her to this day from S9/10) are honestly starting to like Bonnie even the TINIEST bit more than previously, is that despite her vile nature, Bonnie as "Sarah" has offered NO LEGITIMATE reason to be too unbearable YET.
I know you and a number of people will ALWAYS be butt-hurt about Bonnie (& I won't bother trying to help change you & others to that degree). But I'm simply offering 1 potential explanation that, even when someone like Bonnie has such a VILE past to look DOWN upon, the fact that she presently has NOT done anything SO heinous this season (as of yet), is perhaps why a number of people are Shockingly giving her a CHANCE to not be AS bad as she was YEARS ago.
Overall, I suspect that this may not fully help you understand, but even by just the Tiniest amount, I already see a MASSIVE improvement in Bonnie (for now by being UTR), & it seems that lots of people are agreeing w/ me on this here (even those like Tailslover, who are considered the most DIFFICULT to help change their pinions on someone like Bonnie).
Otherwise, we can just agree to disagree on this like civilized people. XP
@Yumichika Time: You don't just make a character suddenly likable after two FULL seasons of racist, homophobic comments. It doesn't work like that.
Guaranteed once Bonnie gets more screentime y'all will hate her again.
It just blows my freaking mind that y'all DESPISE Scott, Lake, Thorne, and Eli... yet Bonnie gets a pass because she's not spewing nasty comments? lolkay. I'm not saying you should LIKE these characters... but some of you just DESPISE them like they're the devil's incarnate.
Just saying. I don't think y'all would give Enter a chance even if he decided to not cheat. Double standards I swear.
Also, I don't mind Bonnie. She's a GREAT player. However, I'm ticked because the sudden love for her feels soooooooo fake. Like... I remember reading the comment section during SFC15 and ANY PLAYER that said "we gotta get Ky out" immediately went on the shitlist and became Satan basically.
Calling it now... Bonnie will be hated once again before she's eliminated. Just like Dustin, just like Sylvia, just like Leah, just like most of the cast in SFC15 who were well liked before saying they wanted Ky out of the game.
@Guest: I do apologize if I sound upset. But I will say this... when the time comes... I will redirect everyone back to this comment.
And I will say... I told you so. Believe me.
@Guest: Bonnie doesn't get a "free pass". We all know what she did in her past two seasons. Nobody here is stupid (for the most part) or naive. BUT, given what we've seen so far? It's already a massive improvement and you cannot deny that. Yes, Bonnie DOES get a pass because...well, we haven't seen her NOT acting any way other than in SFC9/SFC10. You can't just hate someone again and again when they honestly are not quite the same as last time.
The only reason people started to hate players that wanted to vote out Ky is because Ky was the most positive and likable character on the season (other than Marie), and because we had Shaega, Brandi, Dustin, Sylvia, Leah and just a lot of mean, two-faced, neutral, or generally not really likable characters...Ky was all we had left to root for. And, as you know, SWSU is generally known for ripping our hearts out and getting rid of all the likable characters before even the final 5. And when unlikable or undeserving players kept getting a pass and Ky kept being targeted, naturally people are gonna get upset! I'm sure you would feel the same way if your favorite player was being targeted by somebody. It's only natural.
Bottom line, if Bonnie DOES revert back to her normal self...well, congrats on calling it. That's fine. I'm just banking on the fact that SWSU has learned from SFC9/SFC10 to NOT repeat his past mistakes. So, I'm just hoping you're wrong; not to be mean, but just because I don't want to see a repeat.
@Guest: I don't think she's likable, that's not the kind of character Bonnie's supposed to be. I think the positive reactions are based on how successful she's been as a character this season. There aren't many comments about what's she's said before because they were in previous seasons and there isn't much to add to here except for comparison's sake. If she grows back into her old self, she'll get the same reaction she did back then, but while she's staying quiet with toned down confessionals, there isn't much to complain about.
@TurnbullMSGA: Well I for one adore Bonnie this season. I'm pretty sure everyone's able to admit to their mistakes and play a solid game.
Heck, maybe this time she'll win this time! I would adore a Bonnie win this season as opposed to her winning season 9 or 10.
Although you seem quite critical about Bonnie... yet not a peep about Rosella? Why's that I wonder...
@Ugaldr202: Hmph... sorry newbie, but if Bonnie plays like the way she's playing right now, she's going to lose. Big time.
The big appeal to Bonnie was her aggressive gameplay, aside from her horrible comments. She totally deserved to win over Cherman and Jackie/the slut in those seasons. Believe me, she would have.
Just because a newbie like you can't appreciate the strategic gameplay Bonnie had in her first two seasons, doesn't mean you need to be ignorant. :P
@TurnbullMSGA: Wow you're really rude.
Well, not like you would understand the social politics of Survivor. Since it seems like you would get crushed in a nanosecond. :P
And for being such a 'newbie' as you call me... I know this game very well. While I love winners like Elise and Melanie... I do adore the winners like Jim, Liz, and Taro. If you get the votes at the end, you deserve to win. No matter what.
@Ugaldr202: Oh wah wah wah... there's something you forgot, and that's a bitter jury. Need we remind you of Rob and Russell's TERRIBLE losses in All-Stars, Samoa, and Heroes vs. Villains? Come on... for a 'Survivor fan', you should have known that at least...
Look newbie, I'm a master. I know this game back to front. If we were to ever meet on Survivor... in the... well... 1/100 chances of that happening... I'll GLADLY show you how I would kick ass and dominate the season easily. Believe me. You would not last long with that stupid strategy. It's a losing strategy.
@TurnbullMSGA: Uh, sir? I think you're contradicting yourself.
@Guest: Here's the thing: so far, this is the best rendition of Bonnie we've gotten. Let me try to explain why:
SFC9 - In this season, nobody actually knew what she was doing (other than Donovan), so we can't really fault any of the players for not taking action against her. However, during every confessional with her, we got to hear unwanted racist, sexist, vile, horrible things. Even to the point of hoping people would kill themselves. This all ended beautifully with a final tribal council where she got destroyed thanks to Cherman. But, one of the biggest complaints people have with SFC9 is that Bonnie got away with saying so many horrific things and she STILL could've won if not for a deus ex machina in the form of Cherman's recorder. SFC10 is pretty much the opposite (which you'll see in a moment), but pretty much the bad part here was giving Bonnie WAY too many confessionals...all of which were filled with things no sane person would WANT to read.
SFC10 - Here, EVERYTHING was wrong. For one, Bonnie was playing as herself, so all her hateful, vile, disgusting comments were just amplified. Oh, and you can add assault to that, too (spitting on Starr, attempting to break Jackie's arm, etc.). And the bad part is: ALL THE OTHER PLAYERS KNEW IT! Yet they NEVER took her out, until finally Jackie got fed up with her...at the final 3. This is easily her worst version, because again all the players knew her and knew what she was about, and they did nothing about it. PLUS Bonnie was just as nasty as ever, only not JUST in confessionals. And you can't say "the players wouldn't have seen Bonnie's game, since the seasons are edited before they head out", because they had a CHANCE to vote Bonnie out when she assaulted Starr...but instead they kept her in and voted out the victim. At that point, the season turned to shit.
SFC16 - This is like taking the 'good' parts of Bonnie from both SFC9 and SFC10 and rectifying them properly. She's doing the Prescilla shtick again...but this time, she understands her mistakes and is trying to maintain her composure (and stay under-the-radar more)...BUT there are people here that WILL see through her. Scott, somewhat, already has. And, at least to this point, we're not seeing a bunch of horrific comments from her in confessionals. Hell, I got more offended by Lewis calling anthros "animals" than I have ANYTHING Bonnie has said this season. So, Bonnie is forcing herself to "play nice"...BUT others are already starting to catch on...AND she isn't being as nasty. So, this is her best version, and as a fair and honest person, I can't rightfully just hate her. Yes, what she did in SFC9 was horrendous, and what all the other players did in SFC10 to just ALLOW her bad behavior was equally bad, but this is a new season.
@Tailslover13: Pretty sure Bonnie goes on your shitlist once she decides to vote out Bradley or Vinnie.
@Guest: I honestly don't think that's going to happen. But, we'll see.
Scott. Scott, of all people is going to dethrone the big, bad Bonnie. I don't know what to think of that. I'll give him credit for that and the Back to the Future joke, but that's it. In the meantime, I'm glad for the big bros alliance. We're gonna need that positivity as Bonnie slowly starts to tear Galaxie apart and Vinnie goes insane following Rosella's elimination.
Scott is smarter than lets on. Too bad what he lets on is an insufferable douche.
Angelo does not contain the superhuman patience that Damon has. Seriously, any other normal person Damon's size would've crushed lyzebel's skull by now. I hope Angelo sticks with it this time and doesn't let Damon talk him out of it again.
