Reply Tailslover13, March 30th, 2017, 10:00 pm I think you're hammering home the "Brandi Redemption Arc" a LITTLE much, and Cassidy using this as a moment to blindside Lewis is a bit dirty,'s still a nice moment. I'd love to see Lewis get kicked to the curb, but...I'm pretty sure I know what this means. Those that want to do big moves early...get burned. Oh boy.

@Tailslover13: This is totes gonna be the redemption arc season! Brandi, Eli, Iyzebel, Bonnie, Thorne, Vinnie, Bowser... they were all brought back for SWSU to force feed us redemption arc stories! ^U^

....ahem.... sarcasm I meant. :)

Reply Tailslover13, March 31st, 2017, 6:25 pm

@Guest: Oh yeah, totally.

Ok, Brandi, listen to Cassidy on this. She might actually know what she's talking about.

But what the hell am I thinking? There's no way Lake's getting booted this soon.

I'm supposed to feel for Brandi, aren't I? And you know what? I do. I feel.. Pure, Evil, Schadenfreude! That is, the pleasure of seeing someone else suffer.

Let the hate commence.

That damned Piano.. Not having a peaceful Slumber tonight..

SWSU congrats on doing the impossible and making me sympathetic towards Brandi. With a father like Lake it's surprising that she isn't more messed up. He straight up physiologically abuses her, even though he may not realize it.
Also congrats on making me actually root for Cassidy. Probably won't last long though.

Lake and Brandi.... hope their backs are stab-proof....

Reply EJ122, March 30th, 2017, 10:40 pm

This is a really nice moment. I've always liked it when characters who show despicable traits are given another side to their personality. I wish a moment like this had come last season. Getting to see some motivation for why she acts so self-righteous helps to make her more human.

I like the Brandi I'm seeing now, but the next day, I'm expecting her to end up siding with her father for some dumb reason.

Also, I hate that demonic piano. For a kids game, that's some intense nightmare fuel.

Seeing all of these comments about people being surprised they're feeling bad for Brandi feels a bit odd for me, because I never really disliked her last season. Sure, I didn't like her as much as I thought I was going to going in, and her insistence to eliminate Marie eternally was annoying, but she wasn't a bad person. Her 50% accuracy mantra had a lot of merit to it. And even when she WAS wrong (or sometimes VERY wrong), her heart was in the right place.

So yeah, I really like this scene for her as well, and I'm....hoping it ends well for her.

That being said.....yeah, no Cassidy. That's....not going to help her family life. At all. If anything that'll just get him madder at her. Besides, Vinnie won't keep Lake in the game forever. Just wait until his most trusted partner blindsides him. He'll get the message of his mistakes much better than being eliminated by his emotional daughter.

Cassidy. Cassidy, no honey. Just no.

Oh crap Brandi's actually considering it no don't do it~

Man, this gives me flashbacks to my closing remarks on Brandi last season. I almost forgot how forgiving I was when I did that.

"Even though her, um, 'redemption arc' only lasted about two days, I think that Brandi herself would be the first person to tell you how horrible she was acting after the show."

Though in this case, it looks like her father was the first one to react. By the way, I seriously doubt getting rid of Lewis this early is going to amend any relationships. If we wait it out a few more episodes, I might see it.

Yeah, Brandi was never really evil or anything, any hate she has been or is getting is kinda dumb. I'll admit I had some not so nice things to say about her last season but she definitely isn't a bad person, just makes rash decisions.

Nice to see this humanizing aspect to her, Lake is quite the bastard.

Reply SkySurfer, March 31st, 2017, 1:31 am

Of course Cassidy is the first one to suggest backstabbing. I am still amazed how calm she is when speaking about things like this.

I know what she means but it won't improve Brandi's family problems. It's so unlikely Lake will praise Brandi's courage to vote against him. No, he will evaluate this as another stupid decision that only cripples both of their games instead of improving them.

Truth to be told, it would serve Lake right for being such a bad father. I am surprised how much more I like the new vulnerable Brandi compared to the really irresolute one last season...

i've more or less been a steady brandi fan since early sfc15. i know she can pull through! come on, let's get some 150% brandi!

brandi voting out her dad seems like the kind of rash decision sfc15 brandi would make, but this is a new season, and a new brandi.

i have a feeling it won't happen, but cassidy will try. she'll try hard, and it'll blow up in her face somehow, and also affect eli in the process. "nooo!! when you give ominous confessionals about your plans before an immunity comic, you'll just make them less likely to happen! it's tempting fate, cassidy!!! aaahhhhhh!!! *anime eyes*"

Reply Floorman (Guest), March 31st, 2017, 2:04 am

*ahem* This is Brandi. I shouldn't feel bad for her, but still...

Awwwww....Someone needs a hug. And then to vote off their emotionally abusive father.

Reply Guest, March 31st, 2017, 3:35 am

Well this is certainly how I imagined things to go for this relationship. But I don't think Lake is getting booted.

First off that hardly fixes the problem father and daughter have. Second off, this scene implies a future happy ending for the pair.

Reply Sonofhades, March 31st, 2017, 8:10 am

...Okay, Cassidy has just proven that she's not anything even resembling trustworthy.

This revelation about Brandi is oddly meta, considering how much the comments section was yelling at her during her season. It's odd to see her sympathetic. I'm not sure Lake is going to go this episode, but one thing is for sure, and that's that he's a grade-A hate sink.

Reply Yumichika Time, March 31st, 2017, 12:47 pm

Thankfully, this was what Brandi NEEDED the most, just simple Comfort from a STRANGER rather than her own Flesh/Blood Father. IDK if it's wise to do this while being SO emotionally drained like this for Brandi to get RID of her dad like this quickly, but at the VERY least she could get SOME real peace or mind for a little while afterward. Although, w/ her dad gone, she'll be on her own once more w/ no REAL shield to protect her.

As for Sierra/Cassidy here, I'm a bit sad that Sierra is not getting much attention by the camera people, since I still have HOPE that she'll have a BIG role later on. So this little Comforting segment might be small now, but this could be 1 of the ways she gets to have a Breakthrough. ^_^ Cassidy deary.....WHY must you stoop to this Low level, taking advantage of an Abused young woman like Brandi, Potentially trying to make even MORE trouble for her family, just to stay alive in this game yourself? There's a difference btwn playing to stay alive, & just flat-out being IMMORAL like this. At least Thorne is doing THAT part correctly to fight & stay alive in this tribe, the way Cassidy did here, is just SO off-putting/wrong to see. Oh well, better HOPE this pays off Greatly, bc otherwise Cassidy is going down in FLAMES quickly here.

Overall, this is the Breakdown that unfortunately NEEDED to happen for Brandi to finally get it OUT of her System. & w/ this Breakdown/Pep-Talk now in full swing, I'm happy enough to see Brandi try to be a New Improved version from last season (hopefully). ^^

Emotional breakdowns might not be the best time for hashtag big moves.
