Fan Characters will be competing for $1,000,000.
The first boot has been decided, and the actor has exited stage left as Bonnie's accomplice Clydia heads home as planned.
Initially when Blood vs Water was thought up, I was thinking of interesting twists to add to the pairs. One came to me. What if someone with a terrible reputation decided to play with an accomplice. One who would be willing to take the hit for them. Get voted out AS the Returning Player, While the returning Player, Disguised as a New player... would be able to play without the stigma from their past seasons.
Once that was decided. The only possible person to cast WAS Bonnie. And it worked out great. Everyone was expecting her to play like she did in SFC10. So I decided to bring her in, and let her play like SFC9 instead, creating a fictional bond with Bonnie as the made up character Sarah, who would instantly be the victim, and not affected by "Bonnie's" Negativity. Able to earn the trust on the tribe. While "Bonnie" Did her best to get herself eliminated.
Now Clydia.... As mentioned is an actor. Not a particularly good actor, since she made SEVERAL Contradictions and acted very inconsistent, which most players, just like the readers didn't catch on to. Believing in Sarah, not even suspecting that it's all an act. Since Bonnie pulled a "Prescilla" before. There's no way she'd do it again.... It wouldn't work. That's why nobody saw it coming.
Clydia came into this game ready to take the hit, and get the heat off of Bonnie. And Mission Accomplished.
Wait, but I, and she, but who...
...SWSU you devious bastard.
Considering I haven't commented on any of the other pages, i'll just summarize my thoughts on this episode here.
Contrary to what I thought would happen, I find myself liking Scott and Izyebel's relationship, as well as their interactions with fellow competitors.
I'm not as big of a fan of Bradley and his wife as I was in SFC 14, though that may be due to their UTRness this episode.
Eli... I don't see much of a point to him being in this season, and his sister is horrible.
Damon and Angelo are beautiful, please do not ruin them.
Tialayla is slightly less prominent than she was in SFC 11, but she's still enjoyable. I would comment on Riley, but no comment of mine could accurately describe my high opinion of him.
Thorne is taking a more aggressive role than I seem to remember, though this may just be because i haven't read SFC 14 in a while. Sierra seems quite UTR atm, and seems more of a follower type than someone to take action.
Lake is just... I mean... he's kind of annoying. On the other side of the coin, Brandi is much better than she was last season.
Bowser must be a fun character to write for, what with his wish to be feared, and his frequent (potentially accidental) contributions to the tribe's well being. Junior seems to have a more relaxed position, being one of the smarter players yet still holding respect for those around him.
Rosella sucks. Vinnie, on the other hand, seems to have taken a similar role to Junior, having a more relaxed and supportive role in his tribe.
Bonni-*AHEM*, sorry, Clydia seems to have done a good job acting as Bonnie, though her slip-ups are noticeable. However, they would be irrelevant considering her job is done and her absence will only strengthen the act. Without Clydia around to mess up the character, Bonnie will have a much easier time integrating into her tribe's inner workings as 'Sarah', though her current act seems incredibly similar to 'Priscilla' from SFC 9.
I commend you for your creativity, SWSU.
Also, curse you SWSU, I hope the next time you have a hamburger, you apply too much ketchup, making it taste much worse.
PS: I lost my knife, so I can't make any terribly depressing references to me cutting myself this season.
I also have the sudden urge to write 200 fanfiction's about Clydia and her escapades in the aftermath of her elimination. Don't mean to spoil anything, but she kills three dragons and saves the universe from an omniscient pineapple.
(Edited below the dotted line as of 25 minutes after original post.)
@Robolax7: Thank you :)
@Niftyness: Updated reaction now that I've let that sink in; great use of the BvW twist, honestly. It is such a strategic (dare I say, GAMECHANGING) move that almost no one would really think about or even consider. I'm just curious how long Bonnie will be able to keep up the charade this time around.
@Niftyness: It was too good of an idea not to pass up, even if it meant bringing Bonnie back
Yep, I figured something like this would happen. Welcome back, Prescilla...oh, sorry, I mean Sarah...no, screw that, your name is Bonnie Quinn, and that's what I'm going to call you as. One is apparently named Clydia, but the other is Bonnie. This "Sarah" never existed. Figures. I knew it was too good to be true to see Bonnie be the first one gone, and so apparently that poor actress that got suckered into doing this had to take the fall instead. Really sad. I feel extremely bad for Clydia, to be honest. We never really got to know the real her, kinda like Moe'mi from SFC11. So, for doing this horrible job, I honestly give her major props; that took guts. And clearly she isn't as bad as Bonnie is. So, yeah, I knew Bonnie would be harder than that to kill off, but so help me if she makes ANOTHER final 3, some asses will be getting kicked...both in real life and in online life.

@Tailslover13: Well Clydia is an actor. Just not a very good one.
@SWSU-Master: Eh, most actors aren't that good; anyone can do it if they just try hard enough. So, it happens.
I actually completely agree. I don't see HOW Bonnie makes the Final 3 again. I feel like it would just draw something out that has been done before in SFC 10 and 9. If one of SWSU's biggest regrets was that Bonnie wasn't cut sooner, than I doubt that Bonnie would win.
Young man found dead in his home, with a note saying ''WHY SWSU WHYYYYYYY'' It is presumed to be a Suicide.
But seriously this isn't fun. I don't care if it's an EPIC TWIST, keeping Bonnie around in capacity is awful. At least my main man Damon's still here.
@Blastoise_FTW: Maybe she'll be better this time. Who knows?
I don't care if you hate Bonnie, but this was a great plot twist.
GG SWSU, you had everyone fooled.
Ooh, looks like things aren't going to be so good for Izyebel and Scott now.
P.S. I am cackling at everyone's reactions to this lol.
P.P.S. What if Bonnie get ejected for this? Like she was voted out, they all voted for Bonnie. This is going to be a roller-coaster I can already tell.
P.P.P.S. Bold Guess: Kinopio is going to lose immunity again before the swap, and it's going to be a 4v4 split between the Anthro's and the Non's with Bonnie in the middle where she sides with the Non's and those 5 vote out Brad. Doris later goes onto expose Sarah later on in the season. Most likely wrong, but hey it's just a guess.
@guesty: If people vote for Sarah it counts. She can't pull that card
.....I legit struggle to find any words that would accurately portray my thoughts at this moment. So instead I'm going to scream into the corner for a couple minutes.
@ChronoAlone: Have Fun!
Goddammit. Of course it was too good to be true that Bonnie is the first out.
@Sinjoh: Well.... technically she is.
I'm not even mad about this. This is actually pretty interesting. But if you think about it, since people all wrote Bonnie on the parchment wouldn't that mean that the real Bonnie should have been technically voted out?
@Pout123: Bonnie in this game goes by Sarah, just like how she went by Prescilla in SFC9
I don't even care that Bonnie's still here, I'm just relieved that nothing bad happened to Damon. I swear my heart skipped a beat when those two votes popped up. Welp. Gone goes... an actor. Eh, we hardly knew ye.
@lstaff4: Hardly Knew Ye is an understatement
SWSU YOU MADMAN <3
@best: I love being devious <3
You magnificent bastard....Good job....God damn it.
Welp....Bonnie is here to stay....Again.
@Floorman: Since Bonnie's stigma left without her.
@SWSU-Master: I mean...If Bonnie just does the same stuff she did as Priscilla, then I'm going to have a problem, but if she just...I dunno, tries to play the game....This might not be so bad.
That's what I tell myself anyway. It'll help me sleep tonight.
SWSU's a mad man and has everyone about to strangle him for not getting rid of Bonnie permanently. Especially with this mostly negative cast.
Only good thing to take away from this is that Bonnie's definitely not in the Final 3 again. So likely she's going to have a GREAT downfall by the merge or at the merge.
Sucks because I feel like 'Sarah' could have been a cool therapist character instead of just Priscilla 2.0
Also, good on you for contacts changing. Nobody can "I Spy" the differences like with Liz/Jojo. Even Bonnie's eye color changed as Sarah.
@Guest: Yeah, I knew contacts had to be a thing this time
I....can't tell which surprises me more. The fact that this actually happened a second time or the fact that SWSU flat out told us it's happening a second time. Like, both making it obvious from the comic and in the message afterward. Usually you'd let us sweat it out for at least half the pre-merge before dropping this sort of bombshell on us. :p
I have to say.....I wanted Bonnie gone quite badly, but.....I can't be upset with this. Well played SWSU. You managed to find a compelling way to keep Bonnie in the game. I didn't think there was a way to do that, but....well, well played indeed. I was ok with having such a major series villain leave in such a lackluster fashion, but I'll settle for them being a true mastermind once again!
Honestly, I think half the reason this is so well received (the other half being how well it was pulled off) is because we didn't have to lose one of the other extremely compelling cast members in order to keep Bonnie, we just....basically started the season with one less character that bit the first vote for everyone.
@anime9001: I had considered drawing it out. But then having Sarah be fake for longer, and then being like "Oh yeah that was all a lie!" Would have sucked more for Sarah fans, than only one episode of deception
@SWSU-Master: That argument could technically be used for Prescilla in SFC 9 as well I suppose, but I see your point. This sort of thing could have had a decent backlash if it was done later than it was. Even still, I feel this has to be the largest twist that has ever occured in the first TC of a season....not that that's a complaint or anything~
@anime9001: With Prescilla though. She was actively hidden and didn't have any confessionals to connect with the audience. While Sarah was blatantly lying in her confessionals.
Clap... Clap... Clap...
Game is on now.
Also love the blue flames and the hanging bridge to the votebox and to have tribal at a Boo's castle... good thoughts
@qazox: Took alot of time to make the set. Glad you like it.
hahaha this is so dumb. i'm not thrilled at the idea of bonnie being in another season, but the reveal was actually really funny. hopefully she's not making the merge though, as i struggle to imagine what new things another fake bonnie character will add. i was thinking the moral of this episode was going to be "some people just can't change", and i guess it still stands: bonnie just can't help but play a character! i wonder if she still went through intensive therapy, had an intervention etc.? or was that a cover story? how did bonnie find someone crazy enough to go through the survivor application process and act? who would listen to her? was jeff fooled too? or did he repeat bonnie's fake story for the tv ratings? so many questions.
i somehow didn't catch on to fake bonnie, but there's one obscure hint that came to mind: bonnie has a tattoo on her left arm. for some reason, i remember that all the way from sfc9 http://sfc.smackjeeves.com/comics/1453196/sfc9-day-39-now-or-never/ but in sfc16 comic "dog daze", "bonnie" has no tattoo.
i wanna talk about not-bonnie, so... the #bigmoves preview. that's clearly cassidy gearing up to vote out her cousin! it's hard to type on a phone!
@Congo: It was all part of the accomplices plan. Besides who could turn down a 30+ day vacation?
@SWSU-Master: imagine what the rest of the voted-out castaways will say once they realize bonnie's not the one at the loser lodge!
"besides, who could turn down a 30+ day vacation?" -clydia
the question becomes: without cherman, who's going to reveal the real bonnie? it would be funny if "sarah" just gets voted out normally. like, "sarah's too much of a likeable threat, she needs to go!". losing her loved one would make her less of a perceived threat though.
@Congo: That would be hilarious
@Congo: Well her tattoos are gone by SFC10, though. http://sfc.smackjeeves.com/comics/1628626/sfc10-day-39-ftc-openings/
@Sinjoh: Tan sleeves
@Sinjoh: huh, how strange. i forgot about that for some reason. i guess she was wearing tan sleeves though lol
@Congo: Eh, I don't see how voting out your cousin when your both in the minority is a #bigmoves (I wouldn't put it past her to pull a #bigmove to vote out her cousin, but when they're both on the bottom of the totem poll there's nothing really "big" about that). I assume it has something about taking a hit on the majority alliance. Like, the loved one who snaps is PROBABLY Brandi already. getting ahead of the majority alliance is real possibility.
@anime9001: i guess it could be brandi as well. the only reason why i'm guessing cassidy is because it's a hashtag big move, rather than a normal big move.
Well, that was unexpected. I figured there would be a twist, but not THAT one. On the other hand, I KNEW Sarah was bad news... just not the real wolf in sheep's clothing. Huh.
Clydia is an odd name. ...That's all I have to say about her, really. Hope she got a decent paycheck from this.
As for Bonnie!Sarah, sneaky and devious. I'm seeing the red-flags in my previous commentary already.... but hindsight is 20/20. Whether she'll make it to the merge remains to be seen, but I doubt it pretty heavily. Methinks Angelo already suspects something is up (like in Panels 15 and 31).
Also, Next Episode Previews!
--Sparks and Betrayal? I can only imagine it's Damon wondering why there was votes against him.
--Pushed over the edge? Maybe someone on Sarasa, like Brandi or Sierra...
--#BigMoves? It can only be Cassidy. Maybe.
I'm excited for the next exciting episode of SFC~ :D
@RedBeryl: Angelo was suspicious from the last page. He was my big hint that "HEY SOMETHING ISNT RIGHT!"
*CACKLES insanely for 5 minutes Straight* You BITCH Bonnie!..........You actually fooled the F%#@ out of us ALL.....& that was WAY TOO BRILLIANT!!! *laughs for 1 more minute w/out a break* OH MY GOD, those were AMAZING SKILLS, since I just KNEW Bonnie could NOT yet be THIS finished Deep Down!
Overall, This is possibly 1 of your BEST Premieres EVER, since you did pull-out ALL the stops from the Setting/Layout/Outcome/EVERYTHING really, to make this work like it Did! As such, After all the Bonnie remarks/legends I heard/read all over, Now I can FINALLY experience what had made her a MASTERPIECE itfp from SFC9! That you, thank you SO MUCH for having Balls to make a POTENTIAL Precillia 2.0, in a NEW identity as Sarah the Therapist.
W/ that said, I know some will detest this Greatly like the well known Tailslover/etc, but guess what people, like it or not it'd gonna be ALL DAY w/ this (likely for the 1st 25 Days of this season). & for the others that APPRECIATE the artistry of SUCH Deception like this in a VERY literature term in both Art/Writing, Bravo I say, as this is EASILY Bar-None 1 of those NEARLY impossible feats for most Others to get done SO well like this.
P.S. As for the Clydia girl who posed as "Bonnie" herself, she BETTER get a REALLY good favor/Payment for this MASSIVE undertaking in Exchange for ALL that Heat/Abuse she took for 3 Days out there. A 30+ Day of FREE Vacation is a VERY good start to be repaid the favor, but I get the feeling that this won't be the ONLY thing she'll get in DEEP exchange for this Scheme they Pulled-off Big time. Whether or not it's SFC-related is ALL a matter of perspective, but it's part of a BIG Reward Clydia's gonna receive after this is ALL over/done with. ^_^
@Yumichika Time: It's a controversial choice.... but I had to do it.
Oh, no. Oh, noooooo.
@Sonofhades: Oh Yes :)
Hmhmhm. Hmhmhm. Well-played. Sure had me fooled, and yet... The signs were there. You can't take the devious schemer out of someone like that THAT easily.
Of course, the real question is, how far will Bonnie be able to go as Sarah? And, is she still as terrible of a person as she was six seasons ago? One will be answered eventually, and the other, well, we'll see tomorrow, probably.
@Zentillion: She does have some explaining to do
...It also occurs to me now that Sarah's a palette swap of Prescilla with different headwear? Nice little detail, that... if I'm not seein' things.
Clydia played a good game... when it comes to acting. I had that quick thought yesterday "Heh, maybe Bradley's not looking at the real Bonnie" and quickly discarded it since I didn't expect the role swap before the season. I wonder if Sarah aka RealBonnie will reveal tomorrow how she got Clydia to do this.
Brilliant to have Bonnie return with her original plan although I don't know how far this is supposed to take her this time. Too bad the other tribe members neither saw her face when she showed her vote nor the moment when Jeff mentioned Damon for the first time. It really depends if Bonnie took actor lessons for this season or not.
I feel sorry for Doris as Bonnie is using her the same way she used Adrian. Despite the great twist I'd still appreciate it if it doesn't take that long for the others to find out. I don't want Bonnie to be on the jury again...
Still great job, SWSU.
@SkySurfer: Yeah, Doris is falling Hook Line and Sinker for her lies
You know what? Clever twist. Clever, clever, clever. Nobody would have seen that coming from a mile away, and now that it's been revealed, you can look back and realize the hints were there.
...but then you realized what little impact it makes because BONNIE'S STILL IN THE GAME, AND IT'S THE SAME OLD SCHTICK.
This probably would have less of an impact if... you know... Bonnie was a pre merger in SFC10. But she wasn't. She was Final 3. Again. You know? The same thing SWSU ultimately REGRETED doing?
So why bother investing in Bonnie 3.0 when everyone knows she's not making it to Day 38 or Day 39? I can already tell you how it ends; Doris finds out. She already hinted in her confessional a few comics back that "The real Bonnie isn't the same Bonnie we saw on TV". So she knows something was up back then.
So whereas Starr and Adrian fell for Bonnie's schtick, I doubt Doris is, and it's painfully obvious she won't fall victim.
So to everyone saying that this is an amazing, clever twist, it's only going to be that way for now. Soon you will realize Bonnie's still around, still hasn't changed a bit, and you will be wishing SWSU didn't once again bullshit her survival.
I mean seriously, after the controversies with BOTH Bonnie and Enter, what made you think Bonnie 3.0 would actually work? Especially with how many bitches there are this season (Iyzebel, Rosella, Brandi, Thorne)
@Guest: maybe something different will happen this time :)
@SWSU-Master: Maybe Bonnie is actually Enter in disguise!
@DryIceBros: I would actually prefer that.
Can't say I ever even thought this was possible.. I'm still in shock writing this comment right now.. Kinda kicking myself for not realizing this sooner..
It doesn't even matter how far she goes this time, she could be the next one voted off and this still would be one of the most amazing fake outs I've ever seen. Bravo, SWSU, and here's to a very promising start to another season.
Bowser > Riley > Stagg > Bowser Jr. > Vinnie > Thorne > Damon > Doris > Scott > Brandi > Sierra > Angelo > Eli > Tialayla > Iyzebel > Lake > "Sarah" > Cassidy > Rosella
@dat4yc: There were so many clues taht went unnoticed by everyone. Don't worry, it wasnt just you.
On a different note, I wonder if Eli can use his....edgic....power....thing. To see through her disguise. Probably not entirely, given he didn't even know she was in the season until immunity. But if he somehow manages to last until the merge I suspect he probably has the best odds of recognizing any mistakes in her behavior.
Anywho, I guess we'll see. Bonnie has to make it at LEAST through the majority of the premerge now, but I can't be that optimistic for Eli at this point...
@anime9001: And that's why Eli is leaving pre merge so that Bonnie can't be discovered :^)
@anime9001: Eli's powers work with Edgic, but it's hard to read the edits when you only see people at challenges
Clyd Pro Quo
*stammers* Who the fuck's this chick?! I was so ready to be able to do one of these closing reviews again after so long, and now you just bring up this random person out of the blue?! You sick son of a bitch.
Oh, by the way, SWSU's a sick son of a bitch. But I honestly kind of admire him for fooling us again.
Also, I hereby revoke Probst's license for that awful pun. Try harder, man. Like me! This one came from the top of my head!
2. Bowser Jr.
@GaryHawkinsLandscaper: This reveal was so fun. I love being a sick son of a bitch
I called it before the season started that Sarah was going to be faking the therapist behavior, but I never expected the two to switch places! Nicely done. As long as Bonnie/Sarah doesn't take all the screentime, I'm okay with Prescilla 2.0.
It would be hilarious if her downfall is just the tribe deciding she should be voted out.
@EJ122: I'm surprised that Everyone dropped that whole Sarah is fake thing on Day 0
Forgot to mention in my anguish: 11 seats, another merge at 11 or less.
WE'VE BEEN BAMBOOZLED.
@Riskfan: Best. Bamboozling ever
O.o...HOW DID I NOT SEE THIS COMING?!?! Good Job Mate you got me, I can't wait to see what else you- "A loud Rumbling noise suddenly interrupts" What in the the name of-? "Turns around and quickly pales at what he sees coming his way" OH NOT AGAIN!!!! "Takes off running off panel as a hord of Tentacool and Tentacrule rush after him"
I just have one question.
Where did Bonnie find this lackey to take the fall for her?
Also, this may end up being two questions despite my title saying it was just one, but who'd want to work for a blackened soul like Bonnie? Wouldn't this cost a hefty amount in itself even in Bonnie's best case scenario? Which seems unlikely to happen now that Bonnie lost her meat shield THIS soon.
@GoseiAngeal: Easy. Craigslist
