Fan Characters will be competing for $1,000,000.
It's not over yet......
Alrighty, something to throw a little extra intensity into the mix. Another chance at Taro getting kicked and angering the fanbase. It will be interesting for sure. May the best, uh...thing win.
No, it's NOT over yet. And, Shaega, stop trying to make me like you, because it ain't gonna work. You're a pathetic asshole and you're dead to me.
So, will the "surprise" final 2 be Taro vs. Dustin or Taro vs. Shaega? It's 100% NOT going to be Dustin vs. Shaega, so...who will Taro go up against...and how? This should be very, very interesting.
@Tailslover13: Im hoping for Dustin vs Shaega. I cant be the only one who is begging for Dustin to receive a huge wake-up call in the form of an ass raping from the jury.
@DrMarble: I care more about Shaega getting his comeuppance than anything Dustin says, does, or receives.
Lol at Shae trying to redeem himself. Too late for that, man.
I'm still saying Taro wins. Anything else wouldn't make sense.
Quit your attempts at trying to redeem yourself Shaega, its not going to work. Anyway, I had a feeling this would happen. I predict that Taro wins the final immunity, takes out Shaega, Dustin gets completely reamed by the jury, and Taro wins in a landslide (Possibly unanimous).
@DrMarble: At this point, if Taro makes the final 2...and he wins unanimously...he will become the first SFC winner EVER to win in a perfect game (wins unanimously at the end with zero votes cast against him during the actual game). Barney can't even say that. But, yeah, if Taro makes it...I think he WILL win unanimously. Who would've thought?
@Tailslover13: The ONLY way Taro wouldnt win unanimously is Shaega or Sylvia voting Dustin to win. If Shaega is in the finals, there is not a single person who will vote him to win.
@DrMarble: I kinda want to see the perfect game happen. No one would've seen it coming going into this season, and even if Taro wouldn't be my first desired choice, having it happen to a good character would make me happy.
@Tailslover13: Correct me if im wrong, but I think this would also be the first time that we had a winner with no votes cast against them.
@DrMarble: Yes, that's right. Every other player had votes cast against them at one point or another.
@DrMarble: Well, Sylvia is pretty bitter at Dustin. I also have a feeling that Dustin might vote put Shaega for being a mastermind, which is what could lose his vote.
I'm just going to call it and say that this F2 twist is just this season's version of Tapioca, which is to say something to generate paranoia (how appropriate) about SWSU doing something completely off the beaten path while in reality he's making the seemingly obvious conclusion somewhat more surprising.
Im guessing that the final immunity is going to be a quiz over the eliminated contestants or something else that plays to Taro's strengths and he ends up winning again and finally exacting revenge on Shaega.
DO EET GUIZ. TAKE OUT TARO.
@Vilecheese: Honestly, the only way that Taro doesn't win is if Dustin is somehow revealed the evil mastermind who secretly manipulated everyone throughout the entire season of Shaega suddenly becomes a nice person, both of which have like a 0.001% chance of happening.
This was a fairly touching comic. I liked it :)
Past that, I think I hope Sheaga wins. I'd kinda like to see how he handles himself in front of the jury, as I don't particularly expect him to get grilled and I expect him to be proud of his game even though he's not going to win.
I specify Sheaga winning because I expect either other option would end in Sheaga's elimination, as Taro is making finals regardless and I think Taro would eliminate Sheaga over Dustin.
For real, am I watching a Lifetime Original right now? Shae, Taro, settle down. Please.
I don't like Season 11. Didn't like it the first time I read it, still don't like it after the second time. I expect a lot of people to disagree with me here, and that's fine, you see something in this season that I couldn't see. Good for you. As for me, all I saw was an overrated and underwhelming mess.
Similar to some of the seasons I've already covered, most of the castaways are either too obnoxious or too mean-spirited, while the rest just bother me for non-specific reasons. To be fair, it's nowhere near as bad as last season, but the transition to this cast does not fix very much. To put this in perspective, no matter how epic Juiced Up's elimination was, no matter how perfectly that move was played, I didn't support either side because I flat-out do not like most of these people as characters. That also includes some of the people who went home early. I don't think it's controversial to say that Bradlyn is the single worst human being in existance. Worse than Bonnie, Skazz, Shaega, Moooo... I don't know about Mo. They're both equally terrible.
But the much bigger problem I have with this season is its plotline. Listen, I'm more than willing to experiment with new ideas, but this season's story was written and executed terribly. Let me sum it up: this season is about how edgics and edits don't always work. I'm sorry, but that's just stupid. I'd expect something like this earlier in the series, not Season 11. This is more of a personal complaint than actual nitpicking. Full disclosure, I understand how edgics work, and I know how to pick out winner's edits. I just really, really don't like having these concepts shoved in my face by all the other Survivor fans online. It's always intensely bothered me.
Despite being an almost exact clone of me (or rather, who I was back when this season was airing), I have no opinions on Angel, neither as a player nor a character, so let's move on to the man-child responsible for this storyline and the true "star" of this season, Eli. My opinion of him is complicated, to say the least. He's... well... I feel like I should hate him a lot more than I do. I've already made my case against the story, so for obvious reasons, I find this kid very grating. Just keeps going on and on overanalyzing the game. I'm more surprised he lost for a reason other than being a pain to live with. I still can't come up with an explanation as to *why* Angel won, but I digress.
But you know... [sigh] I don't know how to say it, but I get him. Speaking as someone who tries very hard not to get annoyed, Eli seriously could've been my nemesis. If I was given a detailed summary of his character prior to actually reading Season 11, I probably would've forced myself to hate him on that alone. But here's the thing: Eli seems like he really does care about Survivor as both a social experiment and a game. I rarely see superfans who are as passionate about the game as Eli is. His love for the game is sincere, and I can totally respect him as a character for that, even though I don't agree with his tactics. He's the only character who could've pulled off that kind of gameplay.
But if he ever comes back and does the same gimmick a second time, I will hit someone. I mean, just let me read my goddamn comics, that's all I'm asking.
@GaryHawkinsLandscaper: Yeah...I detest the season myself. I don't need to go into why. So...yeah, glad you're done with it. Moving on.
@GaryHawkinsLandscaper: I honestly didn't like SFC11 as much as everyone else did. I liked some of the characters, like Honey, Paine, and Whitney, but the others got on my nerves kinda quickly. Whether it was because they were egotistical, boring, annoying, or just flat out creepy, they didn't thrill me much.
@GaryHawkinsLandscaper: While I personally like Season 11, I dont like it as much as everyone else does. The storyline of the season revolving around Eli and basically being as Meta as humanly possible got kind of annoying. Its main strength however was the characters. Juiced Up was hysterical, Angel was an awesome deadpan snarker, Crisco was a cool pre merge villain, and even Bradlyn was interesting in that instead of being blatantly evil, there was just something... off about him.
@GaryHawkinsLandscaper: Yeah, I'll admit that I fall into the camp of people who absolutely loved this season. To be fair, Eli is one of my 2 favorite characters in SFC history (the other being Hash/Sasha, in no particular order). I really enjoy things that break the fourth wall and I tend to love the hyper/extremely positive characters, so Eli was right down my alley. I get the impression that anyone's enjoyment of this season is directly proportional to how much you like Eli as a character, since basically the entire season (especially post-merge) revolved around him.
I really hope we see him again for the next season of All Stars, but it'll be bittersweet, since I know SWSU would never allow someone that powerful (with an ability you basically can't write out) to make it far at all for a second time. He'd make it to episode 3 tops.
@anime9001: HAAAAAASH!!!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
@GaryHawkinsLandscaper: I will be the 1st to offically say it: The only good thing about SFC11 was the comment pages. Other than that it was not great.
@qazox: You have a sick mind.
@GaryHawkinsLandscaper: thanks, I think. :). The main reason I was laughing my ass off at the wars going on in the comments, because everyone took it so damn seriously and looking back now, its like watching 1st graders verbally fight over a glue stick.
@qazox: I need to go back over those comment pages. I might have left some of my best petty one-liners back there, and I do like to recycle my best material.
@GaryHawkinsLandscaper: Season 11 was pretty meh, honestly. Juiced Up and Claus stayed around far longer than they should have and Angel was kind of a boring winner. At least Eli was fun.
@GaryHawkinsLandscaper: SFC11 was the first season I read for SFC. I started after the Honey boot, strangely.
It was... a nice ending for me. Angel winning was good compared to someone like Eli.
Contrary to all the comments, Artemis never bothered me as a character. She did get more negative towards the end, but honestly, it wasn't out of nowhere, she had a reason to get mad. The hate was overblown then, like it is now for Sylvia and Dustin.
@TJBambi93: Thank you. I know I really shouldn't say anything about this, but...you have a good point at the end. Seriously, how would ANY sane and logical person feel if you had Eli and Sunflower on your tribe? One of them (regardless how you feel about him personally) is a flat-out cheater with unfair powers, and the fact that he's FROM Survivor Fan Characters itself is pretty much a huge slap in the face to all the other characters in the show; pretty much just another Bonnie. The other one randomly found an idol we had NEVER heard about, and we're supposed to believe she managed to hide it in her mane, AND this "sweetheart" would randomly just betray her friends she's had from the very start, and who have kept her safe, just because a psychopath cries to her and begs her to help him? It's just...ANYONE would go ballistic with that bullshit! I mean, if you were honestly in that spot instead of Artemis...how would you NOT start to go insane and get pissed off with Eli and Sunflower? Not to mention having to spend most of the game with Juiced Up, Claus, Casey, and then moving to a tribe with Crisco. I mean...yeah, I think that speaks for itself.
SWSU focuses so heavily on negativity, I think, and that's just a bad mindset to have. I think having a LITTLE negativity be strewn about a game is fine, and having it at the start, the middle, and the endgame is good for tension and drama...but not when you basically surround the entire game with it. He's done this SO many times. SFC14, SFC12, SFC11, SFC10, SFC9, SFC8, SFC7, SFC6...I mean, thank God SFC5 really only had Marius being a jackass, but really nobody else in SFC5 was THAT awful; even Audrey was rather tame to today's standards of Iyzebel, Amelia, Cha'Telle, Sexygirlxo, and Brittnay. And that's why I think SFC5 is a great season; it wasn't completely overwhelmed by negativity. Instead...a CPN player simply won the end, and the rest of the game was rather...positive? SWSU's mindset seems to be: "Either a season must be shrouded in negativity...but have a happy ending. OR it must be rather positive...but have a negative winner." And, again, that's just a terrible mindset.
Have you noticed him doing this as much as I have?
@Tailslover13: I think characters appear to be more negative when they're targeting the fan favorites. When in reality, they're playing the game. Sylvia definitely fell in the negativity... but Dustin never really did. He was just stupid. XD
I feel like SWSU tends to switch it up. SFC13 was... pretty balanced. Ended positively. SFC14 was pretty positive for the most part, ended positively. Here... who knows what he will do. Assuming Taro wins, it will end on a positive note. Dustin and Shaega... well not so much.
Also yeah, I got tired of Eli really fast. Sunflower I didn't mind as much. Although I felt like she did get a Cochran-esque edit. Turned on her tribe because they didn't treat her right... when I don't think we saw enough of that before she moved to Hantz.
@Tailslover13: The only part of 14 that seemed to be negative to fit that list is Amelia (and I guess Mikah but she only had a couple scenes), and even then she didn't feel too bad for me (then again I'm probably the most surprised by that considering I'm the complete opposite of her and I don't really like that archetype... Although I guess I can be hipstery at times).
@GaryHawkinsLandscaper: Sorry bro, if there's ever a season with any kind of returnees at all, Eli is 100% returning no doubt. Remember those characters I told you about yesterday that could/should return? Eli is at the top of the list.
Love him or hate him, unless it's pre merge only he's coming back.
Also, i'm gonna make some people angry and say that Angel is the second worse winner. The worst? Bitsy.
@Blastoise_FTW: You're pretty smart when it comes to ranking horrible winners. Add Melanie to the bottom 3 and you're my best friend~
@Tailslover13: Either her or Mr. Villain Stu Sky would be third worst.
@Blastoise_FTW: I don't really think Skylar was THAT bad, but...eh, it's fair to put him down there.
Which ones would be at the top of your rankings? For me, I would have to go with Montana, Cherman, Marius, Jackie, Ellise, Jim, and Lola. I know I kinda just listed half the winners there, but...I just enjoyed seeing each of them win for one reason or another. I'm gonna guess that you liked Ker and would list her up there, or Barney, but...Barney was just too boring to get emotionally invested in, and Ker...I just never got into her. But, what say you?
@Tailslover13: Near the top for me would be Elise, Jackie (Though I feel Minerva should have won that), Ker, Cherman and maybe Lola. Taro would be pretty up there if he wins.
Middle of the pack are Jim, Montana, Marius, Barney and Liz.
I might do a full ranking of them tomorrow. (Though i'd rather wait to find out who wins this season)
GO TO HELL DUSTIN!
Still haven't technically seen Taro's power yet have we??? I expect to see it soon.
@qazox: Taro's power is in the leaves he carries. It's the staple of Animal Crossing; furniture and objects turning into leaves.
And the obvious has finally been shown. Or at least, obvious to the commentators.
If Taro wins, he'll probably take out Shaega as revengance. If Shaega wins, he'll probably take out Taro to both honor his deal with Dustin and take out a genuine threat to his game. As for Dustin? He'll probably win and still be confused on who to keep. Probably.
On another note, I finally got off my butt and continued playing Danganronpa 2. Finished up the third trial... I did well until I figured out the murderer, then I just lost my composure and had to walk away for a bit just to continue. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy... :c
As I see more people want him to win Im like "Well I was first" lol jkjk but I really hope he does win. If he gets voted off it will be obvious that Taro will win but if its between Shaega and Dustin well itd be more interesting since both have major highs and major lows in the game that could win them or cost them the million so I hope Dustin and Shaega final 2 even though I love Taro I love not knowing the winner then stating the obvious one more
Interesting! The implication seems to be that Taro's about to use his power to knock Shaega out of the ballpark. Especially since Shaega just got a sorta humanizing moment. Dustin's still a deluded moron if he thinks he's going to win this season.
Heh, it's kinda funny how Shaega and Taro got melancholic and after the treemail it's back to normal.
Oh well, unless Taro still has a surprise power that benefits him during the final challenge he's pretty much gone if Shaega or Dustin win this. However if the sushi chef emerges victorious, this might end with a surprise Tribal Council like the time when Ker had to choose between a Wrecker and a Phil boot. Let's see what happens tomorrow...
Wow got awesome moments from both Shaega and Taro. And more of the same from Dustin lol.
Yeah I hope we have a final 2 of Dustin and Taro, because I wanna see if the jury will destroy Dustin as much as I think they will.
Get fucked Shayga. No one's gonna cry about your "sob" story redeem bullshit.
Dustin, ugh. I really feel annoyed everytime I have to see and read you. Get lost.
Taro, yes. Beat them please. Please let the FIC be a sushi-making competition so Taro can be done with this! 9-0 baby!
Also, throwback to Lea and Leah being tricked by Taro to build the shack. Good times.
If Dustin wins, he will probably end up taking Taro.
If Shaega wins, he will probably take Dustin.
If Taro wins... I'm going to assume he takes Dustin.
So yeah, Dustin's probably in the Final 2. Likely Shaega leaves next.
EDIT: I just want to point out that I honestly like Shaega's story as a whole. Even if he was an asshole, he was overfilled with feelings he's never felt before in his entire life. Does it excuse his actions? Hell no. But he can grow to be a better person. Perhaps if we were to see Shaega in a second season... maybe we will see a new and improved person? Maybe without Paranoia?
If it takes place at Tribal Council, it's most likely something not physical and probably more like a quiz. And chances are it's going to be one where the subject are the voted out survivors, which Taro would probably have the best chance in.
Calling it now, the challenge is Fallen Comrades and Taro dominates.
I wonder, what if SWSU pulls a Total Drama, and the last place person in the challenge is kicked onto the jury? If that's the case, and it IS fallen comrades, Shaega probably leaves next, cause he's a Sociopath. (And what's that shit about Paranoia staying with you? Xeradonus really ought to take it back!)
I love Taro keeping the Sushi Shack. Have it nice and ready for if he ever returns.
@Blastoise_FTW: Part of me believes Paranoia never liked Xeradonus.
Um.... Shaega..... Nothing you say is going to make me see you as more than just an evil, twisted sociopath mkay? Please let the challenge be one that plays to Taro's strengths <3
This was a rather sweet moment for ALL 3 of them surprisingly. But alas, for Shaega/Dustin, it's just too little too late to basically try & get people Back into their camps. Either way, this for this FIC, like I said bf, it's almost GUARANTEED to be a mental comp, & that WILL favor in Taro GREATLY. So.....yeah, Taro ALREADY has this locked up. & for his PREFERED choice to bring along for F2, I'm PRETTY sURE that he'll take Dustin along, since he DOES somewhat remind the Tanooki about Ky (I repaeat, ONLY somewhat, since Ky will ALWAYS be the better btwn him/Dustin). So, it's only fitting to have the CLOSEST thing possible happen for F2, for a DT "Showdown".
