Probably wasn't Freddy's best idea...
Yeah, I'm sure Brandi's going to do great at that FTC when everyone realizes her witch hunts are crazy.
@Vilecheese: If it gets her there, they're worth something
One of those two are screwed come TC.
Freddy is surprising me with his grasp on the game. He's the sort that you'd expect to have no idea what he's doing but he's in a pretty decent spot socially.
Brandi's sooooooo fucked if Golgora loses this challenge. Freddy's lost trust in her, Sly/Shae/Dustin have lost trust in her, and Tamelia have never had trust in her.
I'm still curious. Does Marie have the idol or does Brandi?
EDIT: So this means that Marie's not a bitch on purpose, but because she doesn't have a choice? Finally, something I called. Right?
Next up, Freddy's gonna set her on a redemption arc, after she survives this vote and Brandi leaves~
@coolkyledude: Marie tries to be nice, but has problems
Oh my GOD!...
What a REALLY SAD sadistic Backstory Marie has suffered right there. & just like that, it's FINALLY put to rest, that Marie is GENUINELY a lovely woman afterall, & Jeff for ONCE was telling the TRUTH bf this ALL started about Marie. So GO Princess Aqua-Marie!!!
For the little confrontation btwn Brandi/Freddy, wow, that tanked WAY further south than I possibly could have expected it to, especially this early. But even then, while coming out of this w/ some new resolve, Brandi was being actually NICE in comparison to her lately antics. So there's always room for improvement, since this was 1 of the few times that we've seen her TRY & be more relatable once more. Freddy though, Idk of that was a SMART idea really on his end. I mean yeah, this perhaps bridged Brandi/Marie SOME, but when Marie delivered her WHOLE personal backstory to Brandi, he unintentionally got the Investigator to realize that he just TRIED to CONTROLL her through other means. As such, he's now pretty afraid that if's he caught in a lie once more w/ Brandi, he's DEAD in this game. So it IS a smart move to get her out when he has a chance indeed.
Otherwise, this was SO suspenseful, & REALLY different for Normals, to just get to ironically, the actually PERSONAL issues, & try to just act human once more. Or, call me crazy if I'm going WAY off base here! XD
@Yumichika Time: That is the clear difference with the two tribes. Two very different stories
Brandi, you're a fine girl... but you more paranoid than Snoop Dogg (Snoop Lion) at a marijuana test in 1990.
@qazox: She does have some basis for her reasoning
That's a very interesting and....oddly specific curse for Marie. I mean I'm 98% sure she's telling the truth, but MAN is that curse oddly circumstantially really bad for a game like survivor and basically nothing else. It's nice to have another mystery put to rest though. It seems odd to have seemingly every mystery uncovered this early in the season though.... I mean, the biggest debatable mysteries left are Ky and Taro, and I really think they're meant to be taken at face value.
That being said, it's also funny/interesting that Brandi distrusts Marie confessing that she's evil. She may be ridiculously paranoid, but she's still pretty good at what she does.
@anime9001: "really bad for a game like survivor and basically nothing else"
Not so. Depending on the politics of Marie's home, making her sound abrasive and untrustworthy about everything could be tantamount to a death sentence. However, this is Super Mario Bros. we're talking about, so she'll be merely friendless and alone.
@landis963: Well, I'm assuming the curse is not exactly a privately known matter. Sounds to me like it was pretty public, actually. So no one in the kingdom should believe she means what she says in those ways. Granted, it is a very ironic curse for a pure princess, but I can't really see it truly hindering her in her domestic affairs.
@anime9001: As Landis said, it does have some real life implications as a minor annoyance
would you call "subtly bitchy and passive aggressive" a super power? gotta say, that's a really bad super power.
not sure what else to say, but a freddy/brandi betrayal seems to be foreshadowed quite heavily.
@Congo: No. No I would not. Making it sound like anything one says is insincere is a terrible thing to do to anyone.
@landis963: haha yeah, i guess "super power" isn't the right word for it. i was just kinda thrown off with such a supernatural storyline on golgora. it's probably the most out-there thing on the normal tribe so far.
then again, blue kangaroos or minions don't exist either!
@Congo: Its a thin line, but no
Brandi's really starting to exasperate me now.
Brandi won't be able to stop Freddy's character development and hey, she was partly responsible for that because she helped with the Marie date. If Freddy has to vote against her, she cannot blame him too much I guess
Hmmm, so Marie's background story is 100% true now or not? After Freddy's conversation with her I am not sure myself if Brandi just feels she is too honest all of a sudden or if it's an invented story meant to serve the purpose.
Well, as long as Brandi really intends to stop the witch hunt, it's some sort of victory for everyone
@SkySurfer: That is assuming that's the end of it all
Holy crap I actually called it!
While I was not really expecting Marie to be evil per se... I was sort of comparing her dialogue with that of Princess Clara from Drawn Together, and that Marie came off as... a little passive-aggressive. Especially when she voted off Cha'Telle and Billy.
While she's still not truly evil like Bonnie was, it's nice to see that Marie getting this development.
Also Brandi is totally going home this episode if Normals lose, isn't she?
@TJBambi93: People are suspicious, but are they ready to vote her out?
I'm very sorry Marie that your kidness have to deal with some crazy bitch.
Brandi/Freddy ship is inevitable and so I do ship them. 😂😂 But Brandi's still a bitch so whatever.
This comic is a fricking relief. For once, I don't have to see Cordelia in a Golgora tribe comic yaaaaaaaaas </3
@arv0908: I'll make sure she shows up later
So...was Marie's confessional the lie that she spoke to Brandi? Or...was it actually the truth? This doesn't make any sense whatsoever. But, considering who writes this, that makes perfect sense.
Brandi, just leave. For the love of God, LEAVE. And leave Freddy alone, you bitch.
@Tailslover13: Brandi lives by no rules
That's an.... Odd curse.
It's pretty obvious at this point the road we're going down is Freddy betraying Brandi at some point. But when? This episode. Or later down the road? I don't see Brandi making it to far at this point.. She's about ready to get a healthy dose of blindside, I bet.
Good. Brandi sucks.
EDIT: Also, my SFC1 opinions are now up. (Scroll to the bottom)
@Blastoise_FTW: Ah yes. Opinions from the very old and very very strange SFC1
So that's why Marie gives off so many mixed messages! What an interesting justification. Now I'm starting to dislike Brandi even more for victimizing Brandi. If there's any luck, Freddy'll turn on her after it becomes apparent to the rest of the tribe that she's intolerably paranoid.
@Sonofhades: But will they buy it?
