Fan Characters will be competing for $1,000,000.
Who could have predicted this? Well since she didn't have her powers anymore... Yukie!
Yukie was a character I knew from Day 1 that I would need in this season. With the Deserted Twist being a bit of a complex twist, she was able to explain it in ways that were more effective than having Jeff go through 5 different long panels explaining the twist. And once that part was decided, I had the pairs already in the series so I worked those into her story as well. Yukie was a walking exposition machine for the first part of the season.
What I wanted to have happen when she walked away from her powers and then have her go in the direction she did, was give the opposite of what happened with Eli and the Critic, where sometimes taking your fate into your own hands goes great or extremely poorly, but sometimes it gives you the freedom to do with it what you want, and Yukie did not do the best job of holding onto that, given that she began siding with the loud girls, which ended up alienating her old ally and ended up in getting her booted. But Yukie chose her own fate and wasnt lead by any foreshadowing or greater plans. Plus its not like she had any unfinished arcs or anything.... right?
Yeah, keep deliberately leading on the people who think Jake's randomly going to return to this game.
I'm still not sure why Yukie lasted THIS long in the game, she had pretty much no importance after around episode 5-6.
@Vilecheese: It was more of I had other peoples stories to finish up before that. And prolonging them would lead that arc to tire out.
@Vilecheese: Anyone who knows the plot to Dangonrompa will know Jake isn't done and why.
@guest: speaking of jake, it would have been really creepy if jake's ms paint vote for yukie ended up counting in the vote tally at the end!
Damn, sucks Yukie left. I actually liked her honestly. All the good people are leaving too early >:|
@ChronoAlone: Then maybe its time for a shakeup
@SWSU-Master: Good idea. I nominate Amelia as sacrifice.
Yay, the cat survived. Im happy Prussia's still here, i have to respect a Pun Master.
Looks like she's gonna CLAW her way to the top.
@Yo: Unless a CATastrophe happens
Dang there goes the streak, though I did have Yukie at 2:1 to go last post. Interesting that both Jojo n Liz seemed shocked Amelia got a vote.
@qazox: Stagg threw out a hinky vote nobody expected
Huh....This is...not what I expected.
SWSU's cooking up something....I still think I got the dish figured out as I explained previously, but it would seem that the final ingredients are not quite what I expected.... I suppose only time will tell what will turn up from this delicacy.
@anime9001: Heh....Stagg DID say that Hunter was not the one that killed his parents....and EVERY single pair is still in the game otherwise....it couldn't be......Jake comes back in the final 5 with the three pairs becoming the final 6?
SWSU....wouldn't do that....would he?
(Note: I stand by my previous claims of what is going to happen this series with my Dongan Ronpa rant, but this is just one possible way I could see SWSU making this go full circle. This isn't particularly what I see happening but....it could?)
@anime9001: So you're basically saying Jake killed Stagg's parents? Sounds like a twist we wouldn't see coming..
@TJBambi93: And that's exactly why I could see him doing it~
However, that's not QUITE what I expect SWSU to do with Jake, but it was something that came to mind. I wouldn't be surprised if he came in to fill the final duo though at the final 5, or perhaps something happens at the final 6 to match the anime like Sesareee said. Something's coming, we just don't know what yet.
@anime9001: My cooking sets off the smoke alarms, so hopefully you dont take notes from my dishes
Meh. That's all I really have to say. It's disappointing how irrelevant Yukie ended up being (although it won't stay that way)
Honestly, and I hate to say it, this season's been getting kind of boring. There are two characters (if you can even call one that) whose eliminations completely blue-balled everyone. I'm still fairly confident that Jake's storyline will lead somewhere, but we've had, what, five episodes without a mention of him? At least tease us once in a while.
Also, this cast has so many unlikable aspects to it. I don't necessarily mind a few unlikable characters to root against, but there have to be heroes to root for. The only classically likable characters left are Stagg whose win is so Mike-level obvious I'm going to cry, and I'd argue Liz who's really done nothing wrong.
Also I finished my Worlds Apart comparisons. Some are looser than others, but bear with me.
Mike: Stagg (you're winner)
Prussia: Mama C (used an idol, pretty strategic, pretty close alliance with the Rodney)
Amelia: Will (unlikable, goat, says some dumb things)
Diego: Rodney (funny, somewhat incompetent villain, not athletic)
Tyler: Desmond (Bit of a gamebot, has an idol, considered a threat)
Shirin: Yukie (need I explain? Alliance with Mike, 8th place, superfan)
And, while Jojo and Liz don't fit as well, I'd say that they'd be Hali and Jenn maybe? Not a great comparison either way.
VOTE STAGG OUT
It's funny Stagg's vote was the best one of the whole TribalCouncil and yet, he also doomed his best partner with that move.
Yukie was an interesting character, being an op survivor in knowledge and she was still one of the first to abandon her biggest advantage to play the game in a fair way. This earns her my respect but I also gotta admit that I would have been quite disappointed if Prussia left instead...
How will the "unpopular girls" duo and Stagg continue their games after this? While Stagg still has a few options to choose from, the game got even harder for Amelia and Jojo...
Heh, I went onto the Deviantart page to see people predicting stuff about Jake due to SWSU's words and then I remembered that I didn't mention it on there, so they're still nonethewiser XD I can't wait to watch their reactions when the reveal comes~
Someone was voted out aparently, but was never actually voted out and is still hidden, watching everyone play, and when there are only 6 left, the hidden "player" is going to reveal himself/herself
are we seriously complaining about the season because of fucking Jake? Who cares? he doesn't matter.
@Slicer: I could care less about Jake. It's just the fact that like coolkyledude said, after he was eliminated we have no idea what to make of him. like... he's someone that deserves an explanation. That's all I really want.
And based on everything going down, I think it's just going to come down to SWSU going "Lol couldn't think of a 18th character." which in my mind, is lazy.
@Slicer: It's not that Jake automatically makes the season bad. That's not what I'm trying to say. It's that he's easily the biggest mystery we have left in this season, and since that one Stagg confessional back after his TC we haven't heard anything relating to him. Now, one of the only two people with any connection just left and we all know how I feel about the other.
Not just that though, but the season itself has just been fairly predictable without any major blindsides. The pre-swap was interesting, with the whole Hunter arc up until Adeline's elimination, and Yukie introducing the pairs. After that, though, the season got kind of boring and predictable with every elimination feeling like it's just cutting the extra fat from the cast with the arguable exception of Ivan.
It's hardly the worst season, and I have been enjoying it, it's just average.
@coolkyledude: a) one of your whole arguments is that Stagg is obviously winning. Have you considered that may be what SWSU wants you to think? It's hardly the first time SWSU has tricked us with a winner.
b) this is my favorite season since SFC9 and my 3rd favorite season
@Slicer: a) You mean a Sanza- or Kim-like situation? I could see it. Honestly I hope something like that happens. As it stands though, I would argue that he would be the most obvious winner.
b) Good for you. Seriously. I simply disagree.
@Slicer: No one's complaining that I can tell (except for maybe Vile), we're just talking about it because he DOES matter ;)
Not Yukie ah well as long a Amelia doesn't win i will be happy. I'm still rooting 4 Stagg him or at least Liz
Welp. It's just as well that Yukie's gone, since she's been distressingly out of focus for a while now. Stagg's gonna have a target on his back, and so will JoJo if she keeps antagonizing Liz. Next episode, here's hoping for Amelia, because bitch Sean Kennif has overstayed her welcome by about 26 days.
