Fan Characters will be competing for $1,000,000.
Innocence has been lost in the game of Survivor. Mac felt the brunt of a blindside.
In the past few seasons I've gotten really lucky with the younger male characters that get applied for SFC, they've been impressing me alot, and Mac is no exception, he was a joy to write for in the series. In Mac's application there were a few things that interested me about him, his Good Guy attitude, and his zaniness. His Good natured side did play out quite a bit, much to the ire of some of the villains. It led to some good moments for him.
The other aspect, his zany nature, and danger seeking tendencies were played down a bit, since if it gets pushed too far it could be creepy, and had I had a slower period in earlier Episodes I would have explored that part more than I did, but since those normally come later in the season, and Mac's boot happened in a pivitol episode, it was hard to fit as much as I wanted to in there.
But overall, while I think there are many morally gray characters this season. Mac was the one who I really did feel could easily be classified as a hero, who sadly spent enough time in the wrong alliance to get himself voted off.
Great. Now get rid of Amelia.
@Vilecheese: They'll be trying
while mac wasn't the biggest or the most crucial character to the plot of the season, every season needs supporting characters, and Mac pulled off the side role very well. He shall be missed.
Excited to see how the Liz/Jojo relationship goes from here!
@Slicer: I have a feeling it wont be that great for them
At least Mac left with a smile. Glad he's taking it well. JoJo on the other hand...
This won't end well for Liz, I can already tell. Unless she finds some way to get out of the hole she's in with Desmond, she's gonna have very few sympathizers.
@ChronoAlone: Liz may be smart, but she is an emotional player, and emotional plays can be very messy
it's nice to see the women take majority for once! :)
yeah i really don't like liz
desmond, stagg and amelia ftw
@hm.: Liz can be very abrasive and pushy, you arent alone in feeling that
No surprise here, but it's still sad :( Mac was a nice addition for his sheer likability compared to most of the other characters this season.
I mean, I guess I can be proud of myself for calling it from comic 1 of this episode.
At this point, other than Amelia I'm going to be actively rooting against Stagg because his "winner's edit" (if you want to call it that) is the most obvious of the people left.
@coolkyledude: Winners Edit?
And now nothing is in the way of Prusseigo/Diegia!!! Mwah-ha-ha-ha-ha! Except being the next pair to be split.
@qazox: But dont villains also get beaten by the spunky nice kid?
see ya mac. you were funny sometimes :(
jojo and liz hating each other is probably pretty bad for desmond's game.
@Congo: As odd as it sounds. Yes it is very bad for Desmond
Well, that kinda bites :/ Dispite liking Mac quite a lot already, I wish there were more oppurtunities for his personality to shine through. He was the only merged character that I felt didn't have enough screen time. Oh well.
@anime9001: Yeah, he was caught in that awkward story spot where he stayed low key more than my liking
So from my understanding, this vote ended up similarly to LJ's boot in Cagayan where it was supposed to be a 3-3 split between Desmond and Stagg, but Prussia and Diego decided to Tony/Woo up the vote by going against Mac?
*Mac leaves the game*
*Dies a little inside*
So... I guess Yukie isn't controlling the game like I thought she would be... huh. So I suppose in any way, I still think Jake will be the one to ruin her game.
Anyway, for Mac, I say he was fun. Not the best character, but a good light hearted one to say the least.
Sgt. Stagg > Liz > Desmond > Prussia > Yukie > Jojo > Diego > Amelia
There goes another one of the likable characters. Sigh. I did really enjoy Mac. He was positive, amusing, and his dynamic with Jojo was great. At this point, I'm rooting for Stagg or Diego. Because having Amelia win would almost be worse than Melanie winning.
Well... that was a boot that had to be expected and it even happened at the same time as Dwayne's depature who was an immunity threat as well. Mac was simply a far too likeable and powerful player to end up as sole survivor.
I think most of the remaining survivor won't even get close to the respect he has earned till that day. I'm glad he was around this season
I'd actually prefer if the sisters continue the season as enemies. Jojo is simply too selfish compared to her sister and it's uncool that she dared to kiss Desmond but later tried to sacrifice him. The only one Liz would have to apologize to is Mac but her sister? Nah...
