Fan Characters will be competing for $1,000,000.
And with the Flip, the Hunter became the Hunted. John Hunter leaves the game.
I knew coming into this season that I wanted the Rivalry between John and Sgt. Stagg to be key for revealing several things and moving several plotpoints along, but I also did not want it to last long, and of the two I had to cut John because his storylines could continue without him in the game, while I still had more in mind for Sgt. Stagg.
With John, I just had fun going all out with the redneck accent, and bordering on offensive humor with him but never crossing the line to make him a complete monster. He was always meant to be the bad one of the group, so the fact that several took his side is impressive, but hey thats the beauty of Survivor, its impossible to set a clear black and white rivalry.
But now that the Game has hit its first shake up. Time for Part 2 to begin.
great, now that the great leader left amd his alliance has gone and "part 2" is finally here it has been a really good season so far, I can see Adeline suffering, the couple and the siblimgs landing in thr same tribe, and the rest of tbe Uwassa leaving earlier than expected
Yay he's gone!
Anyway tribe swap...wonder what's going to happen there. I doubt the alliances are going to change much.
@Vilecheese: People will need to create new alliances so they dont get outnumbered though
@Vilecheese: Well, for one, this is going to blow the Desmond/Ivan rivalry wide open. For others, Desmond knows for a fact that Liz is no longer his puppet, that Thorne is someone to watch out for, and that Yukie could form an alliance effective enough to knock out his and Ivan's meatshield in less than 48 hours. Speaking of which, they need to attach themselves to a new meatshield, and will therefore be competing for marks.
When Liz said "It's just a game." I started doing the Fusion Core dance. Thank you Liz for being smart about this.
@landis963: Also that moment of dawning comprehension on Desmond's face in the same panel. He made his bed, and now he's deep in it.
@landis963: And when she said that Desmond shat a brick
@SWSU-Master: See also: "moment of dawning comprehension." :]
Ah well, no real surprises here. Honestly, I'm a bit surprised nothing crazy happened, so you know. Can't wait to see where this leads!
@coolkyledude: Well the Guys alliance was dealt a crippling blow
Well now, Desmond and Ivan will now work more closely together, and those two will last awhile. You fools let the two biggest threats go unscathed, shocked a bit but unscathed and angry....
@qazox: Either that, or Hunters departure will push them further apart
Yay! Goodbye John, dont let the door hit you on your way out.Im glad now that we wont have an villain thats obviously evil but somehow makes it past the merge.
@Yo: I dont think he was evil. Just kind of a dick
john hunter was funny sometimes but annoying at other times. i still wish it was desmond or ivan. there's only room for one cpn dude.
"it's just a game" liz!! :)
i'll be glad to see stagg getting a new storyline though!
sounds like adeline's going to have an emotional breakdown without hunter? yikes.
will the tribe swap reset the deserted tribe?
@Congo: Yes. Spinfur, Amelia, Liz and Sgt. Stagg with rejoin the two tribes
Suddenly, everything feels calmer and safer. Glad John go voted out. And Diego just scored major points with me with that move. Excellent work my friend!
@That Guy: Thank Prussia too, she helped him make that move
Well, I called the opposite just 15 minutes or so ago when I read yesterday's comic, but the further I got into this one the writing on the wall became clearer and clearer. It was a lot of fun watching your redneck accent SWSU, and I'm really curious of Stagg's storyline to come.
Meanwhile, I'll also be looking forward to Adeline's mental breakdown :)
"Y'all better watch yerselves. Ah aint done yet."
@coolkyledude: Pft, what can he do? He won't be murdering (or even wounding) Stagg, because that's dark even for SWSU, he's not on the jury, he has no impact on the rest of the season save for Fallen Comrade speeches (which none of the surviving player will hear or care about) and a token mention at the winners' ceremony.
@landis963: I have no idea, but with the emphasis on mysteries this season, anything is possible. SWSU's foreshadowed stuff= like this (DOT: "Don't trust Hash") before, the sneaky devil.
@coolkyledude: Seriously, medivac by buckshot is Hunter's only recourse given when he was ousted. Besides, the Hash twist did not involve D.O.T. after his ouster, as you're suggesting Hunter's will.
@landis963: I guess. I dunno, it was a random little thing I noticed and thought was foreshadowing. Oh well.
Well although I saw such a result coming because Diego was more likely to think with his heart instead of his brain it feels wierd that Hunter is gone. He sure got a lot of screentime for leaving as the fourth survivor and was a fighter but his Sgt. Stagg bashing would have annoyed us too much in the future so it was a good decision to let him leave now
It's definitely Adeline who will suffer the emotional breakdown, question is who will most likely cheer her up. As for the bitter enemy: This will most likely involve Desmond for losing Liz's support.
Goodbye John Hunter! Glad to see Diego and Liz turn the tables against him to make a bold move. Questionable decision by Amelia and her flipping back and forth mannerisms.
With the deserted twist being retired or being reset, it'll be interesting if it puts Spinfur, Stagg, Liz, and Amelia in the crosshairs or not.
Rankings: Liz > Desmond > Mac > Sgt. Stagg > Ivan > Spinfur > Prussia > Thorne > Adeline > Yukie > Jojo > Diego > Amelia > Jake
I must admit, I sucked in my breath when Liz said she's just thinking how it's "just a game." It's because of that though, I now think her storyline will be her becoming the attitudes toward strategy during Survivor's history. She starts out like a person in Borneo. Now she has reached an Africa-Marquesas type of attitude.
Because of this, I expect her to go far, but burn out TERRIBLY when she get's to Samoa. ;)
Hmm... Looks like expecting the worst worked. I predicted wrong, just as planned. I think I'm on to something here.
Hunter was a jerk, and won't be missed much. Still, I'll give him a bit of credit: At least he was honestly a jerk.
Diego, you are so awesome right now. Maybe he'll end up a legitimate player after all. Hunter was a fun unrepentant villain, but the game did need shaken up. Now Desmond and Ivan are going to be scrambling to regain the momentum while Stagg consolidates his power.
