Fan Characters will be competing for $1,000,000.
It may not have been up to Phoenix Wrights standards, but the truth showed through enough to drive the point home, and Luna takes the fall.
Going into this season Luna was someone I knew would play low key for a large majority of the season, but she was also someone that had quite alot of potential in many ways. Both as a hero in the beginning, and as a villain in the end. The Calm, Nice Quiet One, while still being a very calm figure, had alot of room to become an antagonistic force, and I do have to give Luna's character quite a bit of props. The endgame I initially planned and the endgame that ended up happening are very different, and it was due to her and several others that... made me realize that sticking with the script wouldnt make alot of sense.
So it is true, at one point she was 4th place, but along the way, around the merge things got shifted up due to her actions, and much like in the game, it ended up knocking her back a spot. Effectively unintentionally sabotaging her efforts. She eliminated Alleio by taking the Idol, and by being his own self and leaving certain key facts out about the Idol, and only telling Jim, Alleio was partially responsible for eliminating her.
Had she known the Idol was expired, I'm pretty sure she would have tried to win Immunity, or at least not let Iyzebel have it. But alas, insanity is a foreign language for her, and Luna and her multicolored hair leaves us.... only to return for Tomorrows comic since we still have more to go!
She's still pretty boring though this was her at her most interesting.
Now all we need is Tapioca to actually DEVELOP.
@Vilecheese: Compliment and Snide Comments all in one. Never change <3
@SWSU-Master: It's the basis of good criticism. :)
Iyzebel better pull an upset or we're getting a generic final 2 of Jim/Orwell smh
@Fern111: Highly doubt that F2's happening lol
@Fern111: Its not Day 39 yet
well we all know who is winning now right?
obviously a guy
@sesareee: Unless it's Iyzebel or Tapioca
Well, not quite what I was expecting/hoping for. Was more expecting them not to say anything and for her to be confident up until handing Jeff the idol, and THEN having her breakdown, but I think I like how this played out more. It may just be my bias towards loving adventure time, but I really did like her as a character all the way till the end, and I'm glad that she left with some dignity.
Also, even though I mostly called this all the way since Alleio's elimination, I do like that Alleio's plan was even more convoluted than I, or anyone else for that matter, predicted, yet after being explained makes complete sense. Good job on that SWSU~
And lastly, I find the irony that Luna predicting her fate of coming in 4th actually being the original plan priceless~ Really sorta breaks the fourth wall a bit with her noticing what was really going to happen, and changing the future as a result. Reminds me a lot of how Artemis was going to win in Ellie's season, until SWSU rewrote how things happened and Ellie, seeing that she was going to win, eliminated her at the merge. I love little things like that~
@anime9001: Only difference would be Luna would have lasted 2 comics longer. So yeah XD
and for the Idol thing. The reason I went this way, is even though Jim and Orwell were set. Tapioca wasn't. And unless they destroyed the false concept Luna built. They couldn't be sure Tapioca would vote with them.
@SWSU-Master: Hm.... fair. Although, it IS Tapioca you're talking about. You just needed to give her a "Bring down the 'MAN'" or "FIGHT THE POWA" personality and you'd have been set :p but this probably worked better in the end I think~
@anime9001: They identified her Personality for the day as indecisive, so thats why the NEEDED to prove it.
Well Luna got what she wanted, she made sure she didn't go out in 4th place....
As for who's next.... ????? No idea now.
@qazox: Well its alot less clear now for sure
Oh. My. God. That was... FANTASTIC! Having Luna freak out, and leave in a way that even a being such as her would be shocked... AMAZING. I still looove Luna, but this was the most perfect way for her to go out.
@PugLOver: Glad you approve of this
I so called it, what with Luna not being able to read insanity and whatnot. Jim completely won this battle, and now we just need to see the fall of Iyzebel. Perfect, perfect, perfect!
I did like Luna before she got the smug attitude and the idol. She was very low key, and a good player. Once she got the smug attitude, I started to dislike her. She deserved this comeuppance.
Guaranteed Jim or Orwell win the game now. That is unless the F2 is Izzy/Tapioca. Which is unlikely after this vote, as Izzy goes if she loses immunity, and Tapioca goes if Izzy wins immunnity.
@TJBambi93: A tie is still possible
Meanwhile, I forgot to mention (and it would seem more out-of-place to say this later) I do believe this season can be called "The Season of Wasted Idols" now. Out of 4 idols, 3 were completely wasted, and the only one actually used effectively took out....Grilara of all people....things....paperweights...
@anime9001: Not fully unintentional after last season :p
Ding dong! The witch is dead! No more having to put up with smug old Luna.
@rac567: 2 Days Free of Luna XD
She had it coming ~ She had it coming ~ She only had herself to blame ~ If you had been there ~ If you had seen it ~ I bet you you would have done the same!
Luna was cool at one point, back when she was in more of a passive role, but once she started trying to cheat left, right and centre... Good riddance.
@Friend of Fennecs: Cell Block Tango <3
I knew it! I knew there was no way for Alleio to find the instructions without opening up the idol package! *Does the "I called it" happy dance*
@landis963: The best kind of happy dance XD
I've had mixed feelings about Luna throughout the season but her downfall was pretty fantastic. I thought she would cause her accidental elimination way earlier in the game but this was a pretty satisfying conclusion to her arc. I imagined reality being slightly distorted every time she had one of those slanted speech bubbles.
Also I'm glad that she did end up being humble in the end, and I liked how she accepted her defeat.
At this point, I'm expecting an Orwell and Jim F2, with Jim winning. I hope Izybel somehow wins though, even though she's one of the most abrasive people to ever be on SFC, she did dominate this game and she's entertaining as hell. I really doubt it though.
@jdawg-likes-kaleidescopes: Well if this vote showed anything.... Its never too late
I was shocked when Luna went, but my guess is Orwell will win.
You should make a returnees season soon and add Luna!!
@Bob: I dont plan on doing a returning season for some time
Glad to check out today's comic and see how Luna finally has to realize she isn't omniscient and cannot escape her fate.
Yes, she was a powerful character and definitely one of the survivors I will remember the most from SFC13 but she couldn't reach Donovan's level of awesomeness for me.
I wonder who Luna will vote for in case Izyebel fails to win immunity and Tapioca doesn't flip. There's still a slight change she might vote against one of the boys as a surprise move but I think we will know tomorrow
@SkySurfer: Well we still have Immunity
Heh heh heh. Called it. Now that the Cheating Immortal is gone, I don't know who has the best chance. Jim's a pretty decent guy, Orwell is calculating and shrewd, Tapioca is manipulative and unpredictable, and McBitch is cornered. My money's on Orwell, but it's not much money.
@sonofhades: Not confidant at all in your pick?
Unlike other commenters *cough Vile cough* I didn't hate Luna. I agree with T.J. though. She was rather interesting and then I began to dislike her.* :/
How much of a troll move would it be though if Luna won. I'd love to see the reactions. She'd be even more hated than Marius!
As for how I think this will go:
*I would play the actual game like her though if I got on. Starting off low key, but becoming more noticeable until I'm a major player by the end. Kind of like Reed from the actual current season.
@Imma Just Leave This Here: Only its unlikely Reed will be a major player
@SWSU-Master: At least he's more of a character than before. XD
