Oehda = Female Marius

That is all.

Reply Vilecheese, July 10th, 2011, 12:41 am

@mydoctor93 Except that Marius is actually good at the game.

I was starting to feel sorry for Malik, then he brandished that broken bottle at Ira.

And Malik receives an OTTN this episode

Reply bennyboy, July 10th, 2011, 12:47 am

Ahahaha, Oh Malik!

*plays 50's sitcom theme song*

Reply SkySurfer (Guest), July 10th, 2011, 12:54 am

Oh my god,it's the horrible Mo pose. Run, Iraenus, just run!!!

But seriously... he couldn't care less about Oedha why does she always have to solve her problems by pissing off someone? Malik better win this Immunity and teach her a lesson but that's actually hard to achieve in Drunk mode

Reply Ginka (Guest), July 10th, 2011, 1:32 am

In a bush? That's the first place EVERYONE looks. Probably. I'm not quite sure why no one just buries their head, though.

Reply georgejhon (Guest), July 10th, 2011, 1:46 am

vilecunt how is oehda not good at the game? seriously you try so hard to be different its pathetic

Reply Sam4books, July 10th, 2011, 2:05 am

I actually like Malik. He reminds me of my own hot tempered characters <3

Reply AkumaTh, July 10th, 2011, 2:47 am

Malik is a mean drunk.

Reply LordViking, July 10th, 2011, 3:34 am

Yes, bushes, no one in the history of hide and seek thought to hide in the bushes. This is an island full of bushes though, so finding the bush is a bit harder.

I don't see Malik's head anymore. I'm thinking he either left it on the beach when he stormed off in rage, or he hid it in the Malik Bar.

Reply touileasaso (Guest), July 10th, 2011, 5:58 am

Easy Malik...we don't want another Mo...

Reply Bad Asp, July 10th, 2011, 6:18 am

You do NOT burn down Malik's bar. EVER.

Reply Tinyhammer (Guest), July 10th, 2011, 6:20 am

O__o Now, now... Malik just breathe... Breathe NORMAL air.

Reply Pyrowall, July 10th, 2011, 6:26 am

Malik = Mo now D=

Reply Darth AWQ, July 10th, 2011, 12:18 pm

It doesn't need to be a bar, it's Mailk's happy spot. like Heinz's rock. it doesn't need to have booze it needs to have less people purposefully pissing him off and burning his junk near it.

Reply Vilecheese, July 10th, 2011, 1:10 pm

@GeJo Well for starters...

Episode 1: Alligned with the person who utterly sucked at the game.

Episode 2: Became the first mutineer, resulting in an entire tribe hating her.

Episode 3: Votes off her OWN ALLY, premerge, because she annoyed her.

Episode 5: Played right into Xero's hands while Jackie/Heinz figured him out.

Episode 7: Nearly got voted out.

Yeah, great player...sarcasm. Though in all fairness not a single person in this season is a good player, so it makes her look better in comparison.

Reply Owlot (Guest), July 10th, 2011, 9:51 pm

In Oehda's Defense Episode 1: Nobody on that tribe knew Shaniqua "sucked at the game" until she opened her mouth at tribal.

Episode 2: Nobody hated her for mutinying except Jackie. She jumped into Yrsa, made friends quickly, and got her girls together. Jizz was more upset about the two-player disadvantage.

Episode 3: Alice's boot was more Melanie's and Emilee's doing in my opinion. Dumping Alice wasn't as stupid as Matt dumping Heinz, for example, and it didn't affect much because nobody really knew that Alice was a big part of anything. Her going kept everyone in the main alliances safe, and Emilee and Oehda had to trust that Melanie's "big plan" would work (which it did).

Episode 5: So did everyone else. Big whoop about Jackie and Heinz as three of the girls who attempted to eliminate Xero weren't voted off in the next couple of rounds...i.e. the girls covered their asses well, and it could have been Oehda that Jackie/Heinz voted out that round. They had every reason to do it, but they didn't.

Episode 7: The only player who hasn't been in danger of elimination yet is Kiara, so... Just because the votes happened to tie doesn't mean much. Oehda had one ally left, and Jackie had one ally left. It's not like it was half a tribe of 8, nor was she in so much danger that she needed to idol herself. On top of that, nobody cared about the others then. Oehda and Jackie were rivals, and that's what fueled that vote. It's not like Kiara hated her too.

Relative to the cast, I'd say there are some good players, and I'd say Oehda is one of them. She's the one that's in the game the most right now.

If people disagree, okay. That's just my two cents because I think Oehda's pretty great. I'm not sure I could defend anyone else's games as much.

Reply Vilecheese, July 10th, 2011, 10:57 pm

@Owlot I like your rebuttal. You seem to have put a lot of thought into it. My responses:

1: I thought it was pretty obvious that Shaniqua sucked when she was yelling and hating everybody all the time. And I'd figure that, being her ally, Oehda would realize that Shay'd be the type who'd be likely to sink herself. Then again, it was only three wasn't Oehda's worst move I guess.

2: Xero specifically called her out on it, comparing the mutiny to quitting. And Ira called her a really weird swear word.

3: Looking back, you're right actually. So I'll put down another bad strategy she did in this episode: trying to channel Shaniqua...who was the first one out. Hello?

5: I still don't get how someone like Jackie could figure something like that out when Oehda couldn't, though. Based on the intelligence of the rest of his plan (I MUST HAVE AN EPIC SHOWDOWN WITH MY RIVAL!!!) it seems like it should've been easy for her to figure out. Xero did make it pretty obvious.

7: I'm pretty sure Geena's never been in danger either. And if being a rival is a reason to get votes, Oehda shouldn't have been a rival if she wanted to be a better player. Yeah, I know that would decrease the entertainment substantially but I'm speaking purely in gameplay terms.

Honestly, Oehda isn't one of the worst players ever, and compared to this cast she's probably in the top 5. I do think her game is really overrated though.

Reply mydoctor93, July 10th, 2011, 11:21 pm

@Vilecheese "I'm pretty sure Geena's never been in danger either."

If Matt wasn't such a dumbass douchebag, Geena would have been out instead of Heinz in Episode 6.

Reply Vilecheese, July 10th, 2011, 11:43 pm

@mydoctor93 Dang, forgot she was the target there.

Reply Owlot (Guest), July 11th, 2011, 12:02 am

@Vilecheese 1. Many things the viewers see, the cast doesn't see. That's just realistic writing on SWSU's part for Oehda to not exactly see the hole Shaniqua was digging for herself, especially since within the first few days, you want to trust *someone*.

2. Of course she'd be called out on it since it was the very first time someone did that this season and so early in the game. I still stand by them not all hating her though. Geena even semi-defended her by saying she had her reasons (which she did), and after that, they shrugged it off. If Oehda had stayed, she'd be the next one out. She made things better for herself by taking a risk that paid off.

3. Oehda has an off switch. Maybe if Shaniqua had known when to shut it, she wouldn't have been the first one out. Her mouth sent her home. Oehda also surrounded herself with good "back-up singers". Oehda couldn't prepare for Shaniqua's mouth. Emilee and Melanie were at least smart companions to have.

5. You could still say the same thing about everyone else who didn't figure it out, but that doesn't make them bad players for not knowing. They just knew they wanted to send Xero packing.

7. Geena had some sharks around her the episode Heinz left. Maybe Oehda shouldn't have been a rival to Jackie, but it was bound to happen with both of them leading their own armies against each other which, to their credit, they both did well. At the end of it, Oehda came out on top and is no longer a rival to anyone. She's a big threat, but nobody sees it yet. Too much focus is on Matt and Heinz, and I foresee Johnny being caught in the crosshairs soon.

I'd say Oehda is in the top 2. Melanie is not only standing in Oehda's shadow, but she's starting to isolate herself now by refusing deals. Heinz is back with a vengeance, but I don't think he's seeing far past Matt's elimination. Iraenus is a mixture of fun and strategy which is good for players who need an ally but also a buddy, so I'd say he's in the top 2 too (even though it pains me to say it).

As for the others, I just don't see it.

Oehda did have a rocky start, and I'm certainly not saying that she's perfect, but she's grown A LOT from someone who freaked out because people looked at her the wrong way to someone who took charge of a powerful alliance and is currently not looking so threatening to everyone else when she should be.

We'll see if she keeps it up in the next few episodes, but right now, she's up there, and I don't really compare to other casts. It's all situational.

If Ohdea didn't muntiny, ahe was next out anyway. It was the only possible move that she could have made.
